Bought this for my 3rd gen 4runner and perfect fit
I recently bought a 1999 4runner limited and did the deed that many before have done. Car washed that sucker right off. I covered the port with a bit of plastic while I waited for this to arrive. Said coming Thursday, got it on Monday. Great shipping and response from the company. I had a 14" flexible rubber antenna waiting for the mount. I will keep the stubby antenna for when I break my 14" one on a trail.Great buy, a bit pricey but worth it if you are looking for a 5 minute install with no weirdness, time is money they say. I watched a bunch of dudes on youtube taking the long route, removing the dash and making it very difficult. I love working on my truck but some things deserve a bit more of a practical approach and this was just right for the job.Unscrew mounting nut, remove old antenna as the motor pushes it up, swap in new mounting rod, tighten in with the nut, screw in new antenna and viola. Wish it came with a wrench for the nut but that is ok as I had a pair of needle nose pliers standing by.

Works perfect but.....
$69.99 for a small piece of metal and the short rubber antenna. Way over priced but you pay for the simplicity and easy installation.

Economical Replacement for Motorized Original Equipment Antenna
My 2002 Toyota 4Runner motorized antenna finally gave out and would no longer rise when vehicle was started. Cost estimate for replacement by dealer were very uneconomical. Aftermarket electronics store denied having any ability to replace old antenna. This product I found via reference in a blog, and it works just as good as the original equipment, if not better. It truly takes just five minutes to install, as advertised. The quality of reception exceeds the original antenna, and it is only approximately 1/4 the height of the original antenna at full extension. Recommend absolutely for anyone with a 4Runner in the limited years advertised.

WORKS WELL FOR 3rd GEN TOYOTA 4RUNNER
Easy to install and has decent radio reception. I just think it is overpriced. I think a $30-$40 range is probably more realistic.

It's OK
Easy to install on 1998 Toyota 4runner, but it only receives slightly better reception than the original. It's very pricey for what you get.

Very easy to install
Works pretty well as an easy replacement for a non working power antenna. Install is incredibly easy

Works great, easy to install
It only took 2 minutes to switch factory antenna to the new one. Works great and looks great too. All stations sound clear

Expensive.
I did like that this was exactly what I was looking for, I disliked that when compared to other similar offerings this item was I feel, overpriced for what it is.
