This photo book is full of beautiful and intriguing images of the few remaining bathhouses of Cairo followed by very interesting perspectives of the influence of bathhouse culture throughout history. The historic uses, the role in pop culture and cinema, and the exposed nature of public bathing in a highly private society are discussed and explored by the Egyptian writers.
