Work perfectly to cool hot and swollen feet
Brilliant items, and sooo good during the recent hot spell.I left them in the original plastic wrapping and just put them in the freezer according to the instructions that come with them, and waited. I thought it best to use the bag in case the ice creams with which they shared a drawer, decided to spontaneously leak or something silly :)Anyhow, a couple of hours or so later, I got them out of the freezer and slipped my hot and swollen feet into them.SO easy to pull on despite me being a larger person and with very swollen feet and ankles and so comfortable to wear.I then put up my feet and let the gentle cooling do its trick. Not so cold that you flinch, but after a while you feel the GENTLE cooling sensation and it really does help with pain, swelling and heat on the feet.Left them on about an hour and then returned them to the freezer for another bout just before bed time. Not something I would wander around in, but something to slip into whilst I relax in the evening. And after a time, if you feel the need to wash them, they are so easy to clean, just gently wash them as you would a delicate, after removing the little pads first.Truly delighted and so happy I bought them

Perfect for swollen feet
Hello I don’t normally leave a review but just had to for this product I’m toward the end of my pregnancy and have been suffering with swollen feet and hands dreadfully. These cool socks have been a life saver I would recommend them even get 2 so you can constantly have relief, the fact you can’t walk in them is good as they will make you rest too, soft, cosy easy to wash quick dry and really good price thank you whoever came up with this ideaSwollen sore feet or hands definitely buy these,I am normally a size uk5 but swollen probably more like a uk6 small was a good size if you are bigger than uk 6 get next size up

Good.
These are effective at times and I suppose we're all different, but I find that they lose their coldness quite quickly even after they've been in the fridge a couple of hours. I certainly won't put them in the freezer though I believe you can, but wouldn't there be a risk of chilblains at that low a temperature ?They help me get to sleep by cooling my hot feet if I can fall over within the first 15 - 20 minutes of putting them on. I hope this helps someone to decide.

Relaxing
Great if you want to warm or cool your feet.Work wonders to cool and reduce swelling but equally find them relaxing and soothing warm.Do not try to walk in them when using for two reasons: 1) you will fall as they are soft and slippy 2) you will damage the inserts.Fab little find so feet up :)

Frozen > refrigerated. Lush socks!
First I tried the gel packs in the fridge. Ok so it offered me temporary relief of my hot feet in bed issue but it didn’t last too long and I had to take the socks off. Then I thought I’d try them in the freezer. I was worried they would be too cold on my feed. I only used the bottom gel packs in the socks frozen. They were very cold to start with but after about 5 minutes my feet adapted to it and it was heaven! I love having cold feet in bed. I can’t stand hot feet. I fidget and toss and turn if they are hot. I’m 7 months pregnant and comfortable sleep is becoming a luxury for me now. These socks are lush. Even though I’m lying awake typing this, my feet feel so icy cold and I love it.

Comfort and relief
I suffer from raynaud's syndrome, predominantly causing pain and discomfort in the winter months with very cold feet (and hands) but in the warmer months the temperature of my feet increases, and they get incredibly hot which makes sleeping difficult, I'm not sure if the hot feet is another symptom of raynaud's but, let's just say, throught the year there is little relief. Until now. I bought these socks with the intention to prepare me for the warmer months, not realising they can be both hot and cold. Bonus. All year round solution.I've used them purely for keeping my feet cool and they're fantastic. So soothing. Finally relief. The socks are very soft, really comfortable to wear.I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank the Customer Services Team, who have been absolutely phenomenal.

Far too small and not cold
Unfortunately the socks are very small. I have size 7 feet and couldn't even get them over the heel. Suggest you buy bigger size than normal. Also even when gel frozen the socks prevent real cold getting to the feet so felt no real benefit at all. Even tried cooling the socks in the freezer but made no different. Took the gel packs and wrapped them in damp tea towel and worked better but still not cold enough to be of use and rather defeats the object of purchase.Overall very disappointed - such a shame as was hoping for better result and they were not cheap.

Don't stay cold for long enough.
I have eczema on my feet that makes them very hot dry and itchy. Normally, I take ice blocks to bed, but my husband suggested trying these. I pop them in the freezer for a couple of hours before bed, allow to thaw slightly before wearing (maybe 20 min) otherwise they are too stiff and uncomfortable. I get another 20 or so minutes wearing them, and they feel nice, but soon end up too hot to wear and I have to kick them off again. For that 20 mins of bliss, they may be worth it. The seams have started to split already though, so I don't really rate the quality that highly. Given the option- I wouldn't buy them again.
