Quality of this is excellent except the body’s flimsy

If you want to build a model of a land rover defender.. this is a great starters kit.

Bit expensive but quality okay

I’m building this car at the moment and cannot help but feel that Tamiya should have made the defender body out of stronger plastic- it is flimsy and for the price it really is something I’d expect to be better made. All the other pieces in the kit are better quality. A fun lockdown project but not something I will buy again unless the price drops dramatically.

Bit too soon to review, only arrived today(as promised) but husband very pleased with it.

The CC01 is an old but very capable chassis - as such there are a number of deficiencies that are easily remedied - the Land Rover is still a great kit to add to the collection. Buyer beware though, the Japanese version, even though sold under the same product code, does not include lights or the ESC that are included in the foreign versions - many sellers do not make this clear which version they are selling.
