These suits work
This suit saved my life.Three days before I had been stung five times by hornets that had made a nest in a cardboard box. These were ground hornets in a box. I ordered this suit and three days later it arrived. After dark I went on attack with delta dust and wearing the bee suit. Flashlight in one hand puffer in the other,l started the delta dust and in three seconds I was covered with mad hornets. It was like driving through snow as they were coming toward me.Not one sting and the next day the hornets were gone. Thanks for listening,Kenneth in Louisville,KY

It does the job!!!
I bought this suit because I had two Ground bee hives in my yard. I knew about one but found out about the other by getting stung. I bought the suit, put it on and tore into those hives. Its hard to describe the sensation of standing in a cloud of hundreds of Angry bees but not one of them touched me!! Now, the hives are gone and I have the suit in case of future hives.

Protected us from Africanized Bees — Great for short-term use
Update: We’ve had these suits for over a year — and now use high quality ventilated bee jackets. We still use the these Reamtop suits when we have family members or friends who want to help us work our hives. The Reatop suits have not held up well. The elastic is shot, so we have to make sure the gloves cover our lower arms and a belt if we know the bees will be feisty. I still think its an excellent value for short-term use.We bought the Reamtop suits as new beekeepers wanting to ease in without a huge investment, so we bought these inexpensive suits. I am 5'4", husband is 6 feet tall. Both of us are rather slender. The suits fit both of us fine. We bought inexpensive helmets from a beekeeping supply house to wear under the veil. This is a requirement to keep the veil away from your face.We helped some friends, professional beekeepers, get honey from their large apiary during our first month as beekeepers. We were warned that one of the hives is "hot," meaning it has Africanized bees (commonly known as killer bees). When we showed up with these suits, one of the professionals said, "Those suits are crap, I can guarantee you you're going to get stung." At this, we decided to tape up the entrance points of our suits, as we had learned to do at a beekeeping class. We taped the leg openings to our boots and taped the top of the suit to the pants, at the bottom of the top section. As it turned out, this was a most stressful day. The bees were furious, constantly swarming at everything human, and they were trying to get into every crevice and weak spot on the suits of all five of us. The professionals, in their expensive suits, got stung because the bees did find a way in. My husband got stung because he bent down to pick up a super, and the net brushed against his face. One of our friends, in an e expensive suit, got stung in exactly the same way -- her veil brushed against her chin when she bent down to help lift a super. In the end, everyone got stung at least once, no matter which suit they had. But I was only stung one time (at the crease between my gloves and the sleeve of my suit -- which I hadn't taped). The photos show my husband with bees all over his headgear (of the suit being reviewed), my glove, covered with stingers, none of which penetrated to my hand, and the leg of my pants with a stinger still embedded in it. We wore heavy denim pants (wheat jeans) under our suits, and got no stings on our legs. We wore regular t-shirts (light colored) and go no stings on our bodies. Bees seem more aggressive against dark colors.I like that these suits are two-piece. Unlike the "Hot" Apiary last week, our bees are easy to work with. We feel quite safe wearing only the top half of our bee suits. Once a bee got in under the elasticized bottom, but didn't sting. We don't bother to tape up the bottom of the suit when we are with our gentle bees. After our experience with the "hot" hive, there was lots of dirt, bee guts (because the stingers pulled the insides out of the bees after they tried to sting), and nervous sweat on the suits. I put them in the washer on the gentle cycle with cold water. They came out looking like new. I was concerned that the shaped headgear with the veil wouldn't do well, but everything came out clean and in excellent condition. They quickly air dried. I would not put them in the dryer. These suits will not be comfortable in very hot weather. It was very early morning, in the high 70s and low 80s, when we worked the large apiary for about two hours. We weren't uncomfortable, but we would have been on a hotter day.All said, I am glad we bought these suits, and I won't be looking to replace them unless we need to work for hours in the heat. I think they are well worth what we paid for them, and if we do buy better ventilated suits later, these will be good back-ups for when we have guests.

wasp proof too!
so far so good! We do weekly pasture changes and brush clearing on our land and have discovered that there are ground wasp nests everywhere. My husband and I are traumatized from being attacked several times this summer. We bought 2 bee suits to wear while we set up new paddocks, and to give the neighbors a good laugh as well ;) He's 6', 160lb and I'm 5'6" 120lb and the suits fit well with lots of room to spare. In the first week of wearing our bee suits, my husband was the lucky one to step on a wasp nest. The wasps tried stinging him through the pants, and up near his head. I stood nearby in my bee suit, somewhat horrified, but neither of us got stung. Another reviewer mentioned wearing proper clothing underneath. We were both wearing medium weight somewhat baggy jeans and long sleeved t-shirts. Worth the money and the peace of mind that we won't be stung to death one day.

Little protection
Stung five times through this bee suit. See pic. If you get t make sure to wear very thick clothes, latex gloves, and a hat underneath, or you will be stung

One size fits most :)
I wasn’t sure about size but the bee suit fits me (women’s size 8) just fine and fits my husband as well who is 5’10”. I’m a beginner bee keeper and I didn’t get stung when handeling my package of bees. That’s the main purpose!

skeptical
Despite all the good reviews, I was skeptical.I had not been able to identify the entrance to the ground nest. It was beneath several arborvitaes. I started the attack after sunset, with a headlamp and a couple of gardening tools. When I found the hole, hundreds and hundreds of wasps started hitting me. I cleared away the dead needles and cut away some branches to give me better access. With the tube attached to a can of Spectracide Aerosol Carpenter Ground-Nesting Yellow jacket Killer Foam, I loaded the entrance. The outward flow of wasps immediately stopped. When the attackers returned to the hole…they immediately died.I walked away and squashed the attackers that were still trying to penetrate the suit. Not a single sting!!!Tomorrow evening, I will apply Tempo Dust to ensure the colony is dead. The Achilles heel for the suit is the zipper. I had to realign the teeth for it to work. I am 5’9” and 170 pounds. That is very close to the max size for this suit. The suit saved me time, money and pain!!

Good coverage.
I bought this suit for my husband who decided to handle the hornets and yellow jackets that have invaded our yard. He detests them but also has respect for the pain they can inflict. This suit has done a great job so far in protecting him as he removes nests from human traffic spaces. We particularly like that it came with everything, including the gloves.
