THIS BAG IS AWESOME. So I really needed a backpack to run around Europe with but I didn't want a bag that was crazy big because I didn't want to look like a camel roaming through the Sahara. So I ordered this bag, praying to the backpacking gods that it would be perfect and IT IS. I didn't have a check in, I ran around the UK for a week with nothing else but this backpack. I went hiking with it, ran in the ran with it, threw it under and over seats and not a break or rip! It held my clothes, my documents, everything I needed and I still had extra room for more. The bag wasn't extremely huge and fit my frame perfectly. (If it helps I'm 5'7 and pretty skinny)

My 17.3" laptop will fit...but the pocket inside with the elastic strap and velcro works better to secure a smaller laptop. With a 17.3", the strap is not useful, but there is a flap with a zippered compartment that folds over the top of the computer to secure it when you cinch the pack shut.Love the looks. Zippers are okay. The zippered pocket on the center of the backpack is great. The two on either side are somewhat limited because, even though I do not have huge hands, I can't reach into them easily to retrieve things, so I have to make sure NOT to put my Carmex and the like in those!In my gentle, limited use, I've had two issues with the workmanship. One of the snaps that the main straps connect to on the bag came apart. The male part of the snap that's supposed to stay on the loop simply came loose and stayed with the strap. A little light machining and superglue solved that. THEN, one of the loops on the main flap that keep the straps in line worked loose. I had to restitch that, so it's not quite perfect any more, but I wonder how long it will be before the other side goes...Overall, though, quite happy!

I really do. I bought this an alternative to messenger bag for my laptop, and it fits the bill perfectly. I have a 15.6" ASUS, and it fits easily in the main portion of the bag (it is a little snug in the designated "laptop" pocket), and I use the laptop pocket for a Kindle and other accessories for the laptop. It has another pocket on the front side of the bag that is also very convenient. But I didn't buy this for pockets so if that is your main need, you probably should look elsewhere. I bought this because I wanted a heavy, durable, canvas bag, and this fits the bill perfectly. Great purchase for the price, and I look forward to using it for a long time.

This is the bag you've been looking for.I searched for days on Amazon, Walmart, and Target for a bag that will fit my college textbooks, notebooks, and my giant HP 17.3 laptop.After exhausting all other options, I settled on this bag. I had a few things I wanted from a bag and this one delivered. One, I needed it to fit all my crap. Two, I needed it to be rugged. Three, I wanting something that didn't make me look like a child. This answered all of those.This bag fits two giant college textbooks, three notebooks, and my laptop. Now, the two sleeves sewn into the bag are much too small for my laptop, so I store it in the main compartment in its own sleeve. I use the sewn in sleeve to store the notebooks I have to bring anyways. When the pack is full to capacity, the top drawstring doesn't go all the way closed. Not a problem for me, since I was just glad I didn't have to carry a backpack AND a laptop bag. It has plenty of pockets to keep extra pens, pencils, calculators, etc. in.It is made of a rugged denim. It's not waterproof, so don't walk through a monsoon. Stitching looks good, but I am going to have my local seamstress reinforced some of the seams, especially the small triangle that supports the bottom of the straps to the pack.I settled on the brown bag. The leather straps and pulls for the zippers really look great. I don't use the snaps (which other reviewers have complained about breaking), I unbuckle it instead. Takes an extra ten seconds to open, maybe. I'm a bearded man that wears a lot of flannel and this bag looks great on my back. I am super impressed with my purchase.

This is a really good quality bag that looks really good. The leather straps, the many inner compartments, the overall shape, etc... it's a really nice bag which exceed my expectation. Looks pretty durable as well. This bag allows me to bring along my 17.3 inch laptop without the bag looking too bulky -- probably because it has a drawtring opening that really gives it a slim look. This is a great advantage, as I love big bags, but dislike how it makes me look kind of small. In the previous bag I used to carry my laptop in, I look like a turtle with an oversized shell. This bag can store a decent among of things, and yet does not give the impression that I am overloaded. I really love and would recommend it. This is a high quality bag that is priced very affordably for what you are getting.

So the backpack is alot bigger than i thought it was gunna be based on preview reviews, it's huge! I love the color and the material, it's so sturdy and the ties, and buckles work so great. I'm a big fan of all the pockets and compartments it has. The only downfall is that my 17.3 laptop did not fit inside of the laptop pocket, it could slide in a little bit with some force but won't go all the way down, which bums me out alot cuz now I have to buy a sleeve for my laptop hence the minus of a star. But if your really considering this backpack and had a smaller laptop than mine *thumbs up* , this should be perfect. I also suggest watching that video another reviewer posted, it's visually accurate!

If I had written this within the first few days of receiving the pack, I would have given it 5 stars for value, but as it turns out, it doesn't hold up. In the 4 months I've been using it, the thing has begun to fall apart.Within a week or so, the stitching came out on a velcro closure on one of the inside pockets.About a month ago, the stitching came out of the anchor point for the left side strap, and the stitching on the right side snap is begging to unravel as well. This is the lower anchor point with the snap on it. it still works, more or less, but the lower end of the anchor point is loose and flaps around.

It made a great gift for the grandchild.

after using this for a long time, it's really durable and strong. I often put my big 17.3 inch computer in it.

I love the material and all the pockets. I used this bag to travel out of the country and I'm really glad I purchased it. The material is sturdy and can hold a lot of stuff.

Though I was expecting it to be a little bigger than what it is, overall it gets the job done. Very satisfied with the number of compartments that it has and how light it feels...

Metal part of the shoulder strap is sharp and you can get scratch easily.Like this bag anyway.

I love this backpack! It fits everything you could possibly need for school or a trip. The only issue is it fit a little weird on my back. Oh well it's still so cool!
