This is a great beginner's kit. My husband and I bought our first home in April and needed to paint over the sellers' primo paint choices of mustard yellow, ketchup red, and "downtown" brown (if you get my drift). The previous owners of the home also had about 3.5 million things nailed/screwed into the walls, so we needed to fix them up prior to painting. As we are both in IT and absolute noobs when it comes to this kind of thing (but DETERMINED to figure it out, DAGNABBIT), I decided to opt for this kit and we went to town. It was great! The spackle/primer reminded me of whipped frosting and stayed soft despite that we had the kit open and closed for about a week as we worked through the home patching imperfections in the walls. We also discovered a gaping hole near the floor, about the size of a baseball, hidden behind an unused switch plate that made us hover around it making "???" noises that we were able to patch with the included mesh. You can barely even tell that there was a hole there now. I am removing one star for one reason only, but it is a big reason. The included putty knife. It is just barely a little bigger than the tub of primer. This would not be such a big deal except for the fact that you cannot easily scrape product off of the knife when wrapping up work for the day, since it's just a fraction too large and it doesn't fit into the lip of the tub. This also means that you can't easily get product out of the tub or the corners, since the knife is just a wee bit too big to fit into it to get the product out. We had to resort to using our fingers to dig it out.

I'm in the second house I've owned so I'm no stranger to home repairs. The one I'm currently in has shoddy construction work done on the inside and I needed to patch a hole left behind a toilet in a bathroom. I've used patches before but never had great results. This kit has everything you need to do a superb patch job! The mesh has a metal mesh in the center and makes the patch stronger and there is plenty of construction grade spackle to ensure a perfect seal. The sandpaper block has just the right grit to sand the finished patch smooth and not accidentally dig into the mesh. It was easy, mess free and quick to apply. No hassle, no fuss. From now on, this us the only patch kit I will use in the future.

I got my rental deposit back. I had a security alarm system installed and a large hole was left. I used this product and it worked like a charm. The technician patched the hole when he uninstalled the alarm panel but without mesh, the patch was fragile. I used this with the mesh and properly patched the hole. I would recommend getting your own sanding block because this one is weak af. If you want this product to properly work READ THE DIRECTIONS FIRST. Some of the bad reviews are from user error, not the product itself. I sanded the area down and then clear it to ensure the area was debris free. Before sticking the mesh down, make sure the area is clean and dry to ensure it will stick. Press the edges of the mesh down to allow the adhesive to stick well to the wall. Give it some time before applying the product. Mix the product well until smooth before applying.

This kit is perfect for filling in little holes in your plaster wall. It's simple and relatively clean to use.

Tenía una reparación que hacer de un muro de tabla roca y fue la cosa mas sencilla del mundo. Trae una como malla para tapar huecos de unos 9x9, yo corté un pedacito con tijera y se adhirió súper bien. Le di varias capas, trae una espátula de un lado en ángulo y del otro recta para aplicar y aplanar. También tiene una esponja que tiene un lado de lija para perfeccionar. También lo ocupé en concreto y maravilloso. Es “poco” producto, pero rinde muuuuchisimo. Lo único que creo es que tendría que comprar una lijita nueva, pero no es problema.

This patch kit is great!!! Makes the job easy! Moved into a new apartment, our little old landlady, the cutest in the world, didn't have the time or materials, not to mention the arm strength, to patch up the last tenants picture/shelf screw and nail holes so I volunteered, this stuff made it seamless.

Buen producto, listo para usar. Es bastante útil para tapar pequeños hoyos en las paredes. Yo lo utilicé para tapar algunos que había hecho para colgar cuadros. Viene con una espátula y un parche que no he usado pero sirve para reparaciones mas grandes. Seca rápido y deja un buen acabado listo para pintar.
