Peacock ore is a copper iron sulfide (S2−) mineral. It is formed through the deposit of copper via volcanic hydrothermal circulation deep in the Earth’s crust. Its brilliant colours are a result of oxidation (exposure to air). Copper metal can be extracted from chalcopyrite. This crystal is associated with the crown chakra. Some believe it to aid in meditation, and to heighten perception.

Beautiful stones of vibrant coloring
I received my chalcopyrite "peacock ore" today, five big stones that contain so much shine and color, they're just breathtaking. Even my husband, who has little appreciation for my hobby of collecting "rocks," found himself moved to say, "Wow! Those are really beautiful! " And so they are!

Okay for the price.
Okay selection. Not the size advertized. Nothing over 1", most under. Some very small. Color okay. Hope they brighten up over time.

I have been looking for high and low for quality peacock ore and boy did I ever hit the jackpot with this purchase!! The stones are gorgeous and exactly what I have been wanting! If you are looking for this stone, you better grab it fast. Doesn’t get any better than these!!

Deceiving.
I wanted smaller and 6 or more pieces. The photo shows smaller pieces. I got 3 1” ones. Not satisfied.
