I just received this and plan to give it away to my niece for Mother's Day with a picture of her baby girl in it. This locket is just the right size for a picture without being too big or small. I though that cutting the picture and putting it in the locket was going to be a royal pain. So boy was I complaining when I was getting ready to add the photo. I printed a picture on photo paper on my home printer. It was too big so I shrunk it 50 percent to just the right size. I set the picture on the kitchen counter and popped out the plastic photo cover out of the locket with a sewing needle. The plastic photo cover has a notch in it to make it easier. It popped out of the locket easily. Then I set the plastic locket photo cover over the picture. I tried to outline it with a pencil which didn't work well so I ended up using a pen. Then I cut it out with scissors. The photo cut out pushed into the locket easily. Lastly, I replaced the plastic photo cover back into the locket. It took less than five minutes including the time it took to print the picture. So all of my complaining was for nothing. It was as easy as could be and looks great. I can't wait to give it as a gift. I did end up replacing the chain with a nicer but inexpensive chain that was a bit longer (22 inches). If I were to do it again I might get a 24 or even longer chain. I think that lockets look better on long chains. And, it's fun for the wearer to be able to open the locket and look at the picture while you're still wearing it. The locket deserves five stars but I didn't care for the chain.

Bought this for my daughter as an Easter gift. She put it on then asked me how to keep it closed. It was broken right out of the box. She was so upset, I would love to just exchange it, but am afraid it will happen again. The locket itself is beautiful and exactly what we wanted. I reordered it and have been very happy with the quality since. Up until she broke the ring that holds it to the chain, it has been good!!

Review by M's wife: I purchased this locket to keep pictures of my dear grandparents (now deceased) close to my heart. The design on the locket itself is beautifully done and the back is smooth & plain (except for the tiny Sterling silver marking at the bottom). The locket is not heavy but does not feel cheap or flimsy to me. I got the picture inserts out with the help of a small awl and was able to use fairly good size photos of my grandparents' faces. My only complaint is that the locket does not open to lay totally flat... at its widest it opens maybe 120-130 degrees. This is not a big deal as the photos are still clearly visible when the locket is opened but it was a surprise. The chain length is great fashion-wise but I am considering getting a slightly longer chain as the one that comes with the locket doesn't allow me to look at the photos easily while I'm wearing it. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase and would buy this locket again as a gift for someone without hesitation.

I like it. It is a little bit bigger than I wanted but it has excellent quality, the engraved flowers are just right for my taste. The 20 inch chain is also of good quality and just the right length to wear with a blouse. I am in the elderly range so I am not sure if it would suit a younger person to be able to put pictures of endearment inside but it suits me and is easily done with instructions that come with. My girlfriend really wanted a locket with pictures of us and I searched on all sorts of websites. I searched all the name brand jewelers, and locket websites and found out after lots of googling basically, that almost everyone that offers lockets nowadays gets them from the same supplier as everyone else. They are almost all the same so it really just came down to price and return policy for me. I used prime try before you buy so that I could inspect it and use it risk free and so far it has been holding up well. She wears it daily and it still looks great. I will update if it breaks or has any issues.

We bought this for our daughter's 31st birthday. She wanted a locket so she could put a picture of her son on one side and a picture of her husband on the other. After looking at a lot of sterling silver lockets on Amazon, I chose this one because of its' size and more importantly, because of the lovely design on the front. Of all the lockets I viewed, this one had the prettiest design. Our daughter loves it and wears it most of the time. Definitely recommend it.

The locket itself is nice and appears to be good quality. My only complaint is that the plastic film doesn't keep the pictures in very nicely. I recommend that if you buy this locket you use some tape or glue to keep the picture in.

This was a beautiful locket but unfortunately was smaller than I expected it to be.

The engraving is beautiful and the locket is a wonderful size. I've put in pictures of my grandmother and great grandmother who both died this past year. It's a wonderful and enduring way to carry them with me. I would be happy to hand this down as an heirloom.
