Works great just like advertised. I included a picture of installation instructions for people curious of how it actually works like i was. Actually pretty impressive how they designed it to use the radio to trick itself.

This little feller was worth every penny. I don't watch video or condone watching video while driving so please don't buy it for that. BUT there are certain controls like for instance if my wife gets in car before me and her phone connects to Bluetooth and I want my phone connected instead, that setting is greyed out while driving and a few other little things like that that ends up being a pain. So this little connecter does the trick. I have a pioneer and simply connecting the ground wire doesn't fix it like it does on some radios. Remember 2 of the wires splice into other wires (like create a Y) don't think to yourself that you should cut the head unit wires and connect these to it your head unit wires. Head unit wires will still connect to the cars wires and 2 of these will just be connected with them. YouTube is a great help just look it up there.

not much to say here. the quality is good, it installed easily with great instructions provided and i can watch a movie while flying 80mph down the highway........lol. just kidding, i have my head unit driving 2 screens for the second and third row and i put on a movie for passengers then turn the screen on the head unit off so i cant be distracted by the movie. this is great for those who dont want the "man" dictating what they can and cant do while hurtling at dangerous speeds down a packed freeway....lol

Bought this because I read all the reviews stating you need it if you want to be able to drive and use certain features. My headunit is a Pioneer DMH-1500NEX.Install is super easy. It's three wires.Works just as it should. I WILL note that it's not immediate in terms of working. When I turn the vehicle on and the Pioneer unit turns on when I click down to the menu the Bluetooth is grayed out. It takes about 8 seconds (guessing this is the time frame the electronics work mimicking the parking brake) and then after that time the blue tooth icon lights up and I can edit the settings. As I am driving I can also edit the settings...No problem.Works great and I'd recommend it! Gone are the days of just simply wiring the parking brake wire to a constant ground..lol. But that's ok, this is a nice bit.

This product REALLY WORKS & really easy to install! I am very pleased with this item! I also didn't buy it and so glad that I changed my mind. It provides a much better and more secure bypass than grounding to the radio's chassis or using a toggle switch. I installed it in only a few minutes and it works perfectly. WHAT AN AWESOME PRODUCT! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT FROM THIS SELLER!!! Not all products that look the same are actually the same product and/or same quality. This seller's product is excellent quality and easily stored behind the radio with the other connections because it's very thin yet a really well-made, quality device.Additionally, it arrived very quickly and in very securing packaging!

I bought this for my Pioneer AVH-501EX that I was installing in my 2007 Ford Ranger. I checked out a couple installation videos on YouTube and wired it to my harness in just a few minutes. Now I can drive to work and watch an episode or two of Seinfeld on the way. Actually, I will probably never even use the DVD player, but I want to know that I can use it when I want to use it. This works like a charm. It was only a few bucks and solves the "safety issue" regarding engaging the e-brake to watch DVD's while driving.

The instructions are pretty thin, but it shouldn't have been complicated in the first place. That said, I was pretty proud of myself after soldering, shrinkwrapping the connections, and reinstalling it, I found that it worked as described.Once.The whole purpose of doing this was to update the firmware on the head unit, and a week later when I finally had time to do that, suddenly it doesn't work any more.Edit: after trying another version and having the same problem I had to debug this and it appears there was something providing power on the blue wire that shouldn't have been. While I didn't test this with this exact product, I have to assume that the problem was on my side.

The media could not be loaded.  Easiest install ever! Took 20 minutes from mailbox to dash put back together. And watching a movie.*sidenote: the blue wire on the bypass connects to the 12v switched/ignition wire.

Electrics aren't my specialty, but this did exactly what I wanted it to. Got it right the first time because I RTFM. (Google it.)Bought to stop Pioneer telling me when my niece can and can't watch Frozen II on DVD during long car journeys. Honest, officer.

As intended, this device unlocks the android auto features etc on my pioneer avh-z5100. Really easy to install - I crimped the green/blue ends and put them into a connector, then just scotchlok'd the black wire half way along the pioneer harness ground cable

It was great for 5 mins but stopped working and I had to remove it. Not very reliable.

After weeks of attempting to the Head unit working correctly, with many items greyed out, within half an hour, taking unit out, fitting bypass, putting unit back in, it was all working correctly. Worth doing Thanks
