Works well
Works well with my 2012 MacBook Pro (10.8.5). It does switch itself off after not being used for a while. Not sure what the time limit is, but it is late afternoon now and I last used it this morning. So when I typed "2012" at the beginning of the review, I had to wait ten seconds or thereabouts while it switched itself back on. The second time I typed "2012" there was no delay. It couples well with my bluetooth keyboard but I don't use the bridging clip that comes with it. Instead, maybe because I'm a lefty, I have it to the right of the magic mouse which is to the right of my keyboard. I also like the fact that pressing the "fn" button allows the 4 5 6 & 8 buttons to act as left, down, right and up buttons which saves me a lot of time when working in spreadsheets. It does sometimes disconnect when I have moved my laptop out of range and I have to go into my mac bluetooth settings to re-connect. No biggie. Some tips a year later.First half of this review was after I first bought this product. I still like it but have found that it does disconnect frequently. This happens when other devices are using the space, not necessarily bluetooth either. I have an automatic back up by wifi for TimeMachine in my mac, and when it kicks in, the number pad will sometimes become unresponsive while my wireless trackpad will send the cursor going all over the place. Also cell phones and iPods in the vescinity can produce sluggish results, or sometimes the hit digit will repeat. I also have it stacked on top of a small note pad which seems to cut down interference from my wireless keyboard and trackpad. Like the bluetooth trackpad, it performs best with new or fully charged batteries.

Very good quality, but not all functions may work with Parallels.
I'm ambivalent about this.Pros: looks fantastic - almost identical to the first Apple Wireless keyboard. Very high build quality.I'm using Centos Linux on Parallels, and all functions seem to be supported, but expect your mileage to vary.Cons: it's so very close to identical to the Apple keyboard, though the front is just a couple millimeters too high. So close...It doesn't want to stay connected to Bluetooth - it goes to sleep, then I have to go into Bluetooth settings to reconnect - it won't reconnect by itself by simply pressing the on button like the keyboard does. Mine seems to sleep/disconnect after maybe 10 minutes of disuse. It comes with a bracket to mount it to the keyboard, but this is kind of cheap plastic + paper tape. Plus, you have to remove the bracket to access the on button. Stupid design which makes the bracket kind of useless. The numlock function is mapped to the tab/clear key, which is undocumented (why??). I had to use Google to find out how to get the number keys to work. Not sure how this made it out the door with an otherwise very high-quality product. The new layout is throwing me for a loop, though this is to be expected...

Works great, two caveats...
Caveat 1) This keyboard runs on 2 AAA batteries where the Apple keyboard and magic trackpad run on 2 AAA's. Why does this matter? I bought a Magic bar inductive charger, thinking it would work with this as well - why wouldn't it? Well, to my surprise, it was a problem. So I can not use the magic bar and it's rechargeable packs with this keyboard. Since I am not a heavy numpad user, I don't expect this to be a big issue, but I really wish they would have been consistent with the battery size so I could have had this rechargeable like my apple keyboard and trackpad.Caveat 2) The power button for the Apple products is on the right hand side, it is on the left on the numpad. This numpad also comes with a connector to connect it to your Apple wireless keyboard. If you connect it to the right side, which is what most would do, you cant reach the power button unless you disconnect it from the keyboard. Even if the numpad took AA batteries, you wouldn't be able to use it with the inductive charger because the battery pack would be on the wrong side.Besides this specific use case, I am very happy with the functionality and just don't use the plastic keyboard connector that comes with the numpad.

Newer Tech Bluetooth Keypad for Use on S3P
I purchased this keypad because I wanted a Bluetooth option rather than a USB connection. The key pad works excellently on my Surface 3 Pro. Its thin perfect angle and the unit is very solid. Have been using heavily the past few days and its worked flawlessly, no lag in numbers being entered on spreadsheet. I had a problem at the beginning. Pairing worked as advertised. The keypad would not work as there is no NUM LOCK on the S3P. I called chatted with the Newer Tech Technical help line, and they told me that the driver was not good on the S3P and it would not work with Windows 10 as they had not tested with it. This consumed a better part of 30 minutes and the tech support in my opinion was far from good. There were long periods of no response to a simple question. I did an internet search and found out that there is a way to have the NUM LOCK set on the S3P.WIN + RType OSKEnter OKOn the screen will appear an On Screen Keyboard with a Number Key, touch or click the NUM Lock and you are in business. I am not a Techie an if I could spend 20 minutes doing a search the Newer Tech support should have known this right up front.

Matches well, and works great
I have the original wireless apple keyboard and this matches perfectly. It comes with a plastic T Bar to attach the keyboard to the number pad. Batteries can be changed as the power buttons from the keyboard and number pad are on the T side, I think that makes the most sense. We'll see moving forward. I normally don't turn off the keyboard anyways.Another T bar to attach the TrackPad would make it all a perfect single keyboard, number pad, trackpad bluetooth unit.Really nice key selection.....besides the normal numbers and operators, there's forward and back delete keys, page up/down/home/end. Tab. Fn to use arrow keys on 4,5,6,8.Well done!

My wife purchased this Item as a xmas present , took some time to install on my Apple MI and it seemed to work fine but on the third day although it indicated that it was connected to the computer it did not function ,no matter what was tried.I certainly would not recommend this to anyone ,all that can be said for it in my opinion is that it looks nice !!

Defective key
Somehow, when I press “=“, it types “5”.At the current circumstances (Covid19), I cannot go out to return it. (I don’t have a working printer to print a label) don’t know what I do.
