The Art of Modern Quilling: Contemporary Paper Techniques & Projects for Captivating Quilled Designs

This book is a great addition to your quilling library. The step by step instructions with pictures at different stages of the project are helpful. Erin Curet covers the basics in the beginning of the book, mostly stuff an advanced quiller would already know, in the beginning of the book but it's always nice to have reminders and different techniques. There are about 15 projects in the book starting from a very beginner level (the shapes board) to an advanced level (the Mandala Wall Clock). I would not start with this book but for someone with experience, the book offers unique projects. The two projects that stand out to me are the Mandala Wall Clock and the Butterfly Mobile - they are works of art! Beautiful! Erin Curet also covers molding techniques and mosaic techniques. This book is a well done contemporary look at quilling with good instructions, pictures and unique projects. It will inspire creative quilling.

With this book, Erin Perkins Curet makes it known that Quilling has absolutely changed from the crafty snowflakes & flowers of my childhood, to a Contemporary Art Form.What I like best is the simple, step by step, process with great working photos. You are guided through using tools (new to me!) and through the basic building blocks of each masterpiece, so that you are sure to be a success. I am so excited to be paper crafting again, and to be learning such non traditional methods. Whether you are new to quilling or returning, be prepared to enjoy vibrant color, intense design and creative challenge!

It’s just ok. I’m a beginner quiller and this book does not tell us the best width of paper to cut. It has good ideas but it’s not what I was expecting in more detail of separating the papers when quilling with 2 it just dives into the patterns which are good but not enough general information. I’d not bought it if I’d thumbed threw it first. Pictures and page quality very good

Awesome book with great illustrations and easy to follow instructions. She even has a facebook group and a website to sell her own hand cut papers to other artists. Glad I bought it!

Good product as described by seller and arrived securely packaged and on time. As a beginner quiller, this is a very helpful publication.

I just received my book and it is very colorful, not crazy about any of the projects included, the first 26 pages were helpful as I am a beginner, but disappointed that there weren't more just shapes and designs rather than earrings and paper whales, which I did not think looked cute - would have been better to fill in with different flower shapes or teardrop shapes - I will keep the book for some reference guides but was a bit disappointed 😞

By far this is the one of the best quilling books I’ve bought. Well explained, great projects, nicely illustrated.

Love the fun projects, clear directions, and beautiful images in this book. If you combine this book, along with YouTube tutorials, and practice you'll be in good shape to start creating.

This book has amazing and beautiful projects. It's easy to follow and step by step instructions are perfect. Beautiful colours and well laid out.

Lots of useful information, easy enough for beginners.
