I replace charging cords frequently in our large family, so I was looking for a way to extend the liver of the 6' cord that we like for bedside charging. We end up using the phones while they're plugged in, and the bend where the cord goes into the charging end always ends up shorting out.I bought a 12 pack of these twist shaped cord protectors - the Amazon recommended Lectronic brand for under $15. I was very pleased with how they prevent a sharp bend in the cord, that I wanted more to pass along to everyone else.I bought this set, thinking it was a great value. Right off the bat, I was not happy that the little snap on protectors were individually packaged. I was not looking forward to unpacking twenty tiny bags. Then it occurred to me to test them out on our basic Android chargers. They didn't fit at all.They do fit smaller apple charger cords, and ear bud plugs, but they don't prevent severe cord angle bends, so I'm not sure how useful they'll be.The remaining 30 twist style protectors do for any size cord. They are lighter weight, and probably less effective than the Amazon brand, since they allow the cord to bend at a 90 degree angle to the plug. I included photos showing the difference. The Amazon product is on top, and this product is on the bottom.Two tips on installing these, which is very simple-start with the split section, and place it on the plastic nib just below the plug, pushing it as close up to the plug as possible. This will hold the protector on place and keep it from sliding down. After you have the top in place, wrap the rest around in a spiral.Another tip that I've found really helpful - install the split facing up when your phone is plugged in. That way, you can feel which side of the plug is up, even in the dark!

Easy to apply to charging cable. Cute colors (if you care). So far, so good. I have these on my Amazon Fire charging cable, all of my charging cables for my Apple devices, my Beats charging cable, mophie cables... (basically a variety of brands) I am pretty hard on my charging cables and these appear to be doing a very good job of keeping things in good working order. Just bought a second set to give to my staff for their phones. For the price, I am very pleased.

It comes neat and well packaged. I'm very satisfied with the number and the bright cute colors of the products. A great deal!All the protectors are well organized in a clear box. Different color is for different type of cables. I can easily find the right one for my cable from the color. I have applied the protectors to any cable I could find in my house, my hair dryer, phone charger...The bright color also helps me find the cable under dim light.

These do remove tension from the bend point on cords; however, that tension is transferred to the connector itself. So, for instance, with a lightning cable you could snap off the piece that goes into the phone...

These are a great idea, they just don’t fit around the cords nicely, the clip together one especially.
