Matiz Espana Piquillo Peppers, Denomination of Origin Lodosa, 7.6 ounce (1 Jar)

Made in Galencia Spain, these peppers are heavenly.

Very, very good. Taste home made. I bought them to make Romesco sauce (which was excellent), but with the rest plan to stuff with goat cheese or top with anchovy. Can’t wait!

These peppers never disappoint. My family is from the Basque country area of France and these peppers are the closest I've found to matching the ones I eat when I'm visiting (albeit much pricier!)I've tried all the cheaper piquillos I could find in the local grocery stores but they all lack something in the texture, size and taste. If you like anchovies, toast some slices of baguette, top each with a single piquillo and 2 or 3 anchovies straight out the can and you've got a great light meal. These peppers are also exactly the right size and consistency for stuffing, with tuna for example. Just wish I didn't have to pay so much for them!

Had Piquillo peppers stuffed with goat cheese in tapas restaurant. Ordered these to replicate what we had in the restaurant. These are awesome!

Use in a couple weeks. No preservatives, can mold.

Not only are these very good peppers, but I also appreciate the careful packaging -- no way these glass jars will break in transit, which has sometimes happened with OTHER vendors. I'll for sure be buying these again.

Arrived leaking, cannot use!!! It was packed properly from what I could see but the contents of the bottle was everywhere. And I cannot return it. Total rip off!!!!!!!!!
