Great book for A.C fans. Set up with pictures in a "then and now" photo format, with each set of then/now pictures accompanied by a brief history / description of the hotel or boardwalk area. The old time photos are interesting in that you see how people dressed...........to go a vacation. Most of the old photos are B&W which is cool. This is more a coffee table type book than history book. But the photos were quality and the light history was informative. Book covers old / new boardwalk hotels, as well as off-boardwalk buildings and locations of interest. In A.C. you can lose your shirt at both the beach....and the casinos. Book would make a good gift item.

The author was a neighbor. He was an interesting person and good story teller. And the photographs are over the top nostalgic. If you grew up within 60 miles of AC, this book will take you back to your younger days.

I bought this in a book store & wanted to send one to a friend. It has photos of things I saw in Atlantic City many years ago, and others that were before my time. It is nostalgic for some of us. They did a nice job on this book by showing the "then and now" of some buildings/areas.

Great photos of AC before and after. Worked there for 25 years .............awesome pics of Bally's and the boardwalk when it was booming. Hope they get their act together and reinvent themselves. Was a spectacular place to live and work back then. Good luck Mayor Guardian. Keep the faith.

Bought this for my mother-in-law since she was raised in Atlantic City. She loved it! It brought back so many memories. Pictures were great.

Purchased as a gift for someone who grew up in Atlantic City in the 1930's. Wonderful photos. Brought much pleasure and memories.
