Good keyboard, mediocre trackpad, and no place to put the digital pen
This keyboards works fairly well with my Microsoft Surface Pro 4. Apparently, I damaged the original keyboard. At $40 I decided to take the chance. The trackpad is disappointing. The keys feel pretty good. The two button below the trackpad feel cheep and don't feel quite right when you click them. A dealbreaker for this mostly otherwise good keyboard is that is has NO place to store the MS Surface Digitizer Pen. I consider that to be a nearly fatal flaw. If you use this keyboard/case, you are very likely to lose you pen.My recommendation is not to try to save money and pay the $100 to buy an original Microsoft Surface Keyboard. It costs more but is so much more satisfying to use.

Phantom Taps Ruins It
I would have rated this keyboard/case combination as a 4/5 star except for the fatal phantom taps. The touchpad is pretty much unusable. Phantom actions occur all the time. Unfortunately the manufacturer, EC Tech, does not provide its own drivers. The default MS driver on the Surface Pro does not have the option to disable tapping. I am trying to find alternate drivers for the keyboard. The MS precision touchpad driver did not work as it couldn't detect it. If I find a solution, I might increase my ratings, otherwise, the useless touchpad kills it.

better than I expected
For the way I use this, it is better than I expected. It is sturdy, holds up the tablet well, and folds back for holding like a tablet. I use my tablet daily and the functionality and versatility of the case is excellent.Tips:Turn off the keyboard before putting the tablet away. I will drain after a while.Don't try to use it in your lap like the picture shows. It does not work well like that.Pluses:More durable than expected.Keyboard battery lasts longer than I expected. There is just enough room in the flap area to clip my pen on the inside of the flap. Just don't put it on the side with the power button.Still looks good after a month and I travel with this and use it every day, sometimes for a couple of hours. You can fold the keyboard under so that the keyboard is out of the way if not needed (1st and last picture show this).Minuses:Keyboard touch pad is a little more sensitive than is ideal. The case only supports tilting back in landscape. It would be nice with portrait ability.

Easy to Use and Sturdy - Have a Micro USB Ready for Charging
It was super easy to pair through Bluetooth, and the quality is superb. I bought this for my Surface Pro 4 because I had an apparently common issue where the tablet part fails to recognize type covers permanently. So it was either buy a new computer or try a Bluetooth Keyboard, and this worked perfectly. I already had a micro USB ready for charging, but if you don't have it you might have to buy one before the keyboard arrives (to charge).

Pretty good!
The mouse activation button is annoyingly small.I worry about the keyboard damaging the screen but I put a piece of fine leather down between the screen and keyboard when I close it so it's not an issue. A piece of cloth would do nearly as wellCompact, light. I wish it had more than one USB port because I use the one for a wired mouse and sometimes want access to an other drive.Happy overall

Could've been great, but it's just not.
I like the idea of this keyboard - the case and keyboard together, the bluetooth, etc. I get decent battery life with it, assuming I am careful to turn off the keyboard when I walk away for more than 5 minutes at a time.HOWEVER... The 4 key went hinky after about 3 months, and only works about 50% of the time now. But really, it's the phantom taps that make this keyboard unworkable. You're typing, cruising along, and all of a sudden, your cursor has jumped to another spot on the page and continued from there. It's an absolute nightmare. And I have not found any way to turn off the touchpad so it's not an issue. It's incredibly maddening, and it makes the whole thing unworkable.Until they fix this, step away from this keyboard!

Lack of touchpad driver makes user experience bad
Good: - super easy to install and use - very good keyboardNot so good: - no touchpad driver available. while you are typing, if the palm touches the pad, it eill move the cursor to where the pointer is at and you will start typing at a random location. - Customer service is non existent. No response to email requesting for a new touchpad driver.

Very nice cover/keyboard combo and very reasonably priced.
Very nice cover and keyboard. Very reasonably priced. Like the bluetooth connection and very easy to connect. Appreciated the keyboard and trackpad shortcuts included in the directions.
