Good protection
Very well built chain, I am protecting $2000+ Lectric e-bikes at Sun Life resort in Mesa AZ. We are sitting ducks here with many thefts in the resort and throughout Mesa. I use Nestling locks and use Ring cam for video surveillance, Also have WSD CAM audio alarms on the bikes(very loud). Plan to add Air tags. All items from Amazon! Love Amazon!

The only true solution to securing your trailer
I have used a number of the cheap hitch locks over the years for my trailer. All are pretty useless, and can be bypassed in 10 seconds with one good hit by a hammer or a screwdriver. One "security lock" actually froze up due to being in the weather and I had to cut it off. Using a proper security grade chain, like this one, is really the best solution. I run the chain through the trailer wheel and around the axle. If someone really wants to steal my trailer, they still will, but this chain will require about 30 minutes and a high end electric cut-off wheel. (noisy!!!). And yes, you need to buy an equal level lock, otherwise, they will simply cut the lock with bolt cutters. ABUS hooded-shackle locks are great. DON'T be fooled by the cheap (and expensive) hitch locks that are sold everywhere.

Heavy Duty Chain
Solid chain link bike chain. Weighs about 7 pounds. Nicely wrapped in a cloth sleeve to protect surfaces it comes in contact with.

Heavy chain. This chain and the accompanying lock are very heavy. I do feel secure locking my ebike up with this chain.

Bought to lock up bike in my storage locker. Haven't used it yet, but I like the weight and the look. I think it will do the job just fine.

I’ve had it now for about a week. Love that it’s covered in material, saves my bike getting scratched up. Most importantly is the good quality. I haven’t tried bolt cutters on it obviously… wish I could rate it again if someone were to try and break it. It should be good though! Better than what I could find at Home Depot!

USE THESE, NOT chains from a hardware store with bolt cutters. When buying items to protect something, you do not want to spend more on the protection than the item is worth, unless of course the loss of the item would be distressful. This chain, coupled with a security lock such as made by the same company (Abus) is a minimum I would suggest using.

No chain or bicycle lock is going to outlast a motivated thief forever, but this combined with the right lock should create a good holdup.

Abus Chain .. it’s a tough damn chain I used it with a shutter lock to keep my bike secure .. unfortunately my second bike
