Ford 1550921 Tyre Sealant Puncture Repair Refill Kit, 300ml

A perfect replacement for my existing Ford tyre inflation kit following a puncture.

This product was a tyre sealant. I haven't used it and hope not to!

So less than a year after ordering this, my wife manages to drive over another nail. My wife comes to visit me in the office as she was in town shopping. "I have a puncture. Husband fix puncture". The sealant works. To be sure, I drive my wife home via Wagamama as she had ordered lunch to take away and that is obviously very important. I drop wife off at home. Then I take car to Tom Farmer Auto who have a laugh at me as the system says it's her third tyre in a year (thankfully one was a slow puncture so didn't need sealant) and I then get to walk back to the office having lost an hour and a half of my life. Apparently I get brownie points but they generally expire at 5pm on the day of issuance.Sorry - too much information.Summary = THE SEALANT WORKS.

I made a purchase of this product in January as a replacement for the sealant I used when I had a puncture. Product did the job, was able to inflate a wheel with a nail in it. Horrified at the price for the replacement. £44 more or less. Next time I have a puncture will be buying a spare instead unless the sealant has come down to £10 or less. Only has shelf life of 4 years! More concerned about the fact that I have been notified in the last two weeks that more sealant was on it's way? Did not order it and have definitely not received so hope it was an error

Exactly the same product you get with any Ford car. I've bought it to replace the original I had. Exactly the same product just cheaper than buying from a ford garage. Winner

This is one of those items you hope you won't need - and you'll only be able to judge it's effectiveness when you are up against an emergency. I'd rather have the security of a spare wheel but Ford, in its wisdom, supplied only an air compression kit and this tyre sealant, which has a shelf life of just under four years; so you need to buy another bottle, even if you don't get a puncture, whereas a spare wheel sits in the boot and costs you nothing. Also, presumably, if you do get a puncture, not only do you have to buy another tyre, but I assume the sealant will need replacing again. All feels like "heads the manufacturer wins, tails the motorist loses" to me!
