Sugar Snow (Little House Picture Book)

Wonderful, family friendly learning books and received in time for Easter.
I grew up watching Little House on the Prairie. Thus, it became my favorite show and Laura Ingalls Wilder, my favorite author. In turn this, I named my oldest daughter, Laura. I purchased the first toddler book for my Granddaughter for Christmas and she loves it. So, I purchase her two more for Easter. Yes, I will purchase more and then purchase the chapter books when she is ready.

Wonderful short stories for kids
This is one of a series of chapter books based on the Little House on the Prairie books. Not only are the stories delightful but they give children a taste of history. The stories are short enough to be bedtime story books. The illustrations are simple and beautiful. I have the whole series and love them all. I originally bought them for my children and now my grandchildren are enjoying them. I have also bought these books for gifts and have never found a child who didn't like them. These are books that you will not tire of reading. They are part of my "keep forever" library.

Sugar Snow--One of my favorites!
This was one of my favorites to read to my children all those years ago. To be asked by my grandchildren to read it to them is a delight I can't explain! Such lovely stories, now with illustrations on every page! Five Starts!

Favorite Book Series
My kids love all of the Laura books. This is another great book in the series. Great introduction to the Laura chapter books for ages 3-7. This is my 5 year old's very favorite book series!

This is a nice way to present a chapter of Little House in the Big Woods - less reading and more pictures. It is good for readers who are interested in the series but not ready to read a chapter book, or to use as an introduction or summary of the chapter. I am very satisfied with the book!

Great way to introduce Little House to younger readers!
I love that they have taken stories from the Little House series and made short picture book versions!

Fantastic illustrations to pair with a classic story
Note: I love all things Little House, so my views are a bit skewed. That said, the illustrations are so perfect in this book. I bought this for my daughter, so she could also enjoy the adventures of the Ingalls family and she loves it (and the others I have purchased). Sweet stories, great pictures.

Not much plot in this one
My 2-year-old son LOVES these books! They're such a great intro to the Little House books - easy enough for a younger child to understand and minus all the racism of the regular books (which I'm okay using as discussion points with older children, but a toddler isn't going to understand the history). This one, though, misses the mark a bit. It's more of an explanation of how to make maple syrup as opposed to a story. That said, my LO still LOVES this book, so that's why I gave it 4 stars. So overall it's not my favourite of the series but still a fun read.

Bellissimo
Un altro bellissimo libro di questa serie che serve come una prima introduzione ai piccoli ai "Little house books". Le immagini sono bellissime :)

Love the series!
The pictures are always lovely and you learn so much, even as an adult, about the daily lives of their family! Big recommendation!

Four Stars
Sweet book, for a younger audience than I bought for, but my 5 yr old still enjoyed it.
