Civil War Weapons

Very nice book,in depth information on long arms but lacking information on edged weapons. Small arms section could have been more extensive,missing a few examples of lesser known examples. Overall good book with some great photos.

Nicee book. larger print, easy to read, pics are good. However not one word was mentioned about the LeMat pistol, which was a staple of the Confederate Army. A GLARING error, which makes me wonder about other weapons that may have been missed..

Pleasantly surprised. I collect CW carbines and the 60 pages devoted to carbines is very good. Of course Troiani's Civil War art is second to none - he captures the fury and the heat of the battle ! Sections on artillery and sabers is very good also. Recommended for your CW book shelf.

I am just beginning to research and learn about Civil War weapons and this book has a lot of pictures and some information about them. I was told that some of the info was wrong, but I can not comment on that, since I am learning. Overall a decent book to have in my collection. Thanks Moose

This is full of information. The binding is well made. The book has included lots of copies of original photos of people and weapons of the time.

This is well presented information. The photographs will add to keeping a teenager engaged in the subject. The information is presented in a way that a young teen will find interesting.

this is one of the better books on civil war firearmsthe artwork and photos are brilliant.

This is good research material, but i would have prefered dates to all the weapons contained in the book. Oh and how larger is the average rifle of the day to the carbine?
