Good things come in small boxes
What does this product do? It allows you to stream bluetooth audio using the latest HD audio codec apt-x. It can be used as a transmitter to use with wireless headphones for example. Additionally, it receives bluetooth signal from a phone, tablet or PC plus other things. Simply connect to your Hifi via optical out and your system is now ready to play HD music tracks. The Glovery is very compact, about the size of a beer mat. It is well made, having a nice aluminium case, black high gloss top and the multi-functional power button feels well made too.The front panel holds the power button, rca input and a 3.5mm headphone socket. The rear has one optical in, one optical out, power socket, slide switch to select receive or transmit and an aerial. This aerial boosts the signal range. I have used my wireless headphones throughout my 3bed house and to the edge of my garden with5loss of signal. That's approx 20m, however, that is my own personal experience and will be different depending on individual equipment and environmental factors. The unit comes with good, clear instructions that allowed me to be up and running in under 5minutes.Initially, I used the Glovery on receive mode to receive a signal from my phone. I use a HiFi streaming service and I was mightily impressed with how well the Glovery worked. It is connected to my AV-Receiver via optical cable. The first track I played was Dare by Gorillaz. A tour de force bass line and intricate guitars. I then played the same track, streaming from my phone to the amp directly. With the Glovery, the music had more space around it, compared to direct streaming. The bass was more controlled but powerful. The vocals held firmly in the middle of the soundstage but given room to add extra weight.I have been using the Glovery with a mixture of music and through my amp and my wireless headphones. I have been very pleased with results this relatively cost effective box has given to my streaming world. For the money, I have to highly recommend it.

Good sound quality and range.
Works very well. This was an upgrade to my previous what I thought was a good bt receiver was I wrong . This one is much better the over all sound quality is much better , bass is deeper and the mids and highs are much clearer . And the range is also extremely good , infact I've not lost signal anywhere in my flat when streaming music from my phone . It was relatively easy to set up to you just have to make sure the switch is in the correct position .

Excellent sound quality and good range
The unit is smaller than expected, which is not a bad thing, and set up is simplicity itself. Plug in the unit to fully charge it and then connect supplied leads for 3.5m jack, phono or optical and that is pretty well it. Pairing to speakers is quick and straightforward. I had a music centre with no Bluetooth up and running on a pair of Sony speakers in about five minutes, and that included reading the instructions. The pairing is to the speakers, not the device the transmitter is plugged into, so you don't have to pair a music centre, computer, phone or whatever if you are using the same speakers. Just connect up and the already paired speakers are connected. The range seems good - I haven't tried 164ft, but I tried it on an Echo dot and it extends the range quite considerably which might be useful come summer in the garden. The sound quality will obviously also depend upon the speakers but there seemed to be no drop off in quality in the speakers I was using. The signal seems strong and there was no drop off.It can also be used as a Bluetooth receiver, which I haven't tried as it is something I don't need so cannot comment on that side of the operation except to say the unit seems well engineered so I would not envisage any problems.I have given a good rating for battery life simply because the first charge is still going strong after quite a few hours usage - and you can always use it plugged into any USB socket or power bank if need be. All in all it is an excellent, well built bit of kit and well worth the money.

Not useful as a hifi receiver
Frustratingly it turns itself off ten minutes after I disconnect my phone, so when I want to play music again I have to get up and press its power button. Also not useful at parties: you have to press a pairing button before anyone new can connect to it. Needs to have a standby mode and be always discoverable to be useful for me. The sound quality and range are good, it’s a pity these issues get in the way.

First class Bluetooth transceiver
This is a truly excellent bluetooth device, which is capable of delivering exceptionally clear hi fi audio. Compared to devices I have previously used this is significantly better when in RX (receiver) mode playing through my amplifier and floorstanding speakers. It produces output with plenty of treble and base output and the quality is on a par with CD’s played through the same system. Range seems significantly better, I have moved my smartphone music source around within 7 metres of the unit and did not experience drop out. Have yet to try it from the bottom of the garden, but it is way better than my previous units. I think this provides the perfect answer to getting your music library played through a reasonable audio system. The unit is robust and well finished with what seems to be a satin finished metal housing, my unit did not have the Golvery logo on the top panel as shown in the illustrations. It came with a comprehensive set of connectors and useful user manual. In use it sits discreetly on top of one speaker adjacent to the amplifier. When first used on top of the amplifier it seemed to pick up a little interference but this is probably a positional thing. Otherwise it is completely silent with no underlying white noise. It appears to be the same as the ‘BlitzWolf’ unit using the same chipset and with all connections, aerial etc identical in appearance and location. Battery life is very good, the unit came charged and has been in use for several hours so far, the claimed 15 to 17 hours is way better than my old units (5 to 7 hours). Delighted with the unit and very happy to recommend it to others who may wish to introduce Bluetooth flexibility to an older Hi Fi or enjoy bluetooth headset transmissions.
