From what I can see, the smaller color wheel is just like the larger one, the same information but smaller scale. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Is this the same as the larger sized wheel, or are there other differences (beside the size of course)?

I purchased the small color wheel and it measures 5.25 inches in diameter. I can offer no guidance or insight as to how it compares to the large wheel. I can tell you the small wheel is a great purchase that fits in both my sewing and yarn bag.

Is this color wheel good for cosmetology school?

Not sure. I use it for quilting & other craft projects.
