These struts went into our 2007 Toyota Matrix XR in about 5 minutes, and they work beautifully!For the modest expense that it cost for these parts, they have greatly improved our quality of life. We are constantly opening and closing the rear window on our car, and it is such a pleasure to have struts like these that work like brand new again. I didn’t realize how much of a pain it was to keep the window from falling down as I’m trying to put items in or take something out of the back of the car. It’s so nice to just pop the window open and have it solidly set in the upright position until, I want to close it.I know, it seems like kind of an overboard review, but really, sometimes it just takes a small thing like this in your life to give you a disproportionate improvement that you then can’t enjoy the benefit of every day.

They snapped right into position and are quite strong in lifting the window gate.

I installed these on my 2005 Pontiac Vibe and they went on just fine but they are a bit over one inch shorter than the originals thus the glass doesn’t open up as far. As long as I am careful it shouldn’t be a problem hitting my head( I’m 5’-10” ). The pressure is good when opening and holding the glass in place so they’re way better than what was on there. Are they a good deal? I think so— just be aware of the size difference.

I installed these last night on my 2008 Matrix, I measured them side by side first and they are the same length but just the new ones have more shaft than piston. as I close the glass the piston bottoms out on the shaft 1 inch before closing. If I make an effort to push the glass closed it bind and sounds like it will shatter the glass….. help

Fitted them to a 2007 car within 10 minutes. Now no danger of the glass dropping on my fingers.
