Absolutely love this brush, brilliant for any hair length, we have both short and long haired and this gets right to the undercoat and removes any loose hair, better then any other brush I have bought and it keeps the hair compact until you release it into the bin. Our cats love it, purring away.

Brilliant brush. Both my cats love it. It brushes well without hurting them and feels sturdy. I love the little mechanisms that gets rid of the gathered hairs with the push of a button. Great brush for long or short haired cats.

I thought it was a bit pricey when I purchased it. But really impressed with how much hair it collects.

This says it’s for small dogs. I used it on my 70 lb Shepherd mix. It does a great job and is the only self-cleaning tool I’ve found that actually self-cleans.

This slicker brush coupled with the Safari deshedder tool has worked miracles of my beautiful yellow lab, Moon. We are in the shedding season, as all pet owners are painfully aware of, and Moon has hair coming off of him just walking through the house. I vacuum daily, lint roll the sofa daily, shake out the top sheet on the comforter and had been brushing him with a curry type round brush which has been fairly useless. Nothing helped. But, then, I researched grooming tools, read reviews and looked at different manufacturers online to see what the best purchase would be. And, boy, did I find it!! Hands down, Safari products are superb and these two items together, within two days of grooming, has helped considerably. Mountains of hair effectively, painlessly and quickly was removed as promised. Soooo easy to use and ergonomically comfortable in my hands. Happy to report that at least 80% of the shedding problem has disappeared!! Labs always have a little bit of shedding due to their double coats. On the positive side, that's what makes them all mushy and gushy when you hug them! Lol. I always follow up our brushing session with a wet moist hand towel that's been infused with a little bit of Lavender Essential oil or Tea Tree if you're going to go outside and play ... great insect repellent. Lucky for Moon, I'm a massage therapist so I have lots of goodies at my disposal that enhance his spa time! Best of all, Moon finds it enjoyable and I'm beyond happy. One thing though. When using the slicker brush, please be gentle. The wires are sharp which my fingertips discovered as I removed hair on the first pass through. Had forgotten about the self-cleaning button on the back. Haha. That's okay because I became aware of what he would feel if I were to press too hard on him. Not good. So, no need to dig into their skin or anything, just easily glide it over their topcoat .. all the loose hair and dander comes right off and stays put in the wires until you remove it. I was going to take him to the groomer for the deshedding treatments that they have but it is not necessary now. Safari is way less costly than the Furminator brand and I heard that their de shedder tool causes discomfort as it rips the hair out. What the heck?! Anyways, at the end of the day all that matters is I'm thrilled and Moon is clean and looking great!
