description says weight for 2 chairs is 33 lbs. are the chairs really about 16 lbs? are they difficult to carry?

We purchased 4 chairs that look like the picture here--wood frame, folding with a cushioned seat. They look nice, are sturdy to sit on and fold for storage if you like. We have had them for a year or two and like them very much. I just weighed one of ours and it is just slightly over 11 lbs, not the 16 lbs mentioned above. LeRoy P.

How comfortable is the back? Is there sufficient back support ?

Very comfortable with good strong back support. I prefer more padding in the seat however, I would buy them again, very good quality.

Can I remove the seat cushion so that I Can change the fabric to match my dining room chairs?

We had to do this with our chairs since the foam cushion became useless after about a year. It is easy to do, and a much denser and better quality foam can be purchased at fabric stores like JoAnns or on Amazon. Make sure that you get dense foam made for kitchen chairs of it won't last very long.
