Not planning on using this as a functional sled - for decoration purposes, is this okay?

Not in the state of Washington or California. Section 8-E Paragraph 23.6 “tools used for recreational purposes shall not used in a decorative manor unless tested for proper safety perimeters.” Technically just for asking that question in those states can merit a full investigation that requires you to submit to a legal search of all your hard drives and know email addresses.

How can the same sled be rated "Great Gift for the Whole Family" and "Don't waste your money".... is it made in China or the USA? This is not clear.

You know, I don't own this (I'm also a shopper), but from the reviews it almost seems like some people got a Chinese counterfeit and others got the made in the USA version. I also remember this being an issue when I was looking into getting a Rainbow Loom on Amazon for my daughter.

What length do they come in

The sleds are manufactured in 42”, 48”, 54” & 60” sizes. The most popular is a 48” sled. Limited availability on sizes depending on the time of year.
