This pad works amazingly good for practicing sutures on. I don't wish anything was different! The company is amazing and I LOVE the fact that they did what no other company could, Put in 2 free needles with silk string.

Great to practice!
My brother was so happy when I gave this to practice for his surgery subject at college. He said it worked perfectly for what he needed.

Not exactly what I was hoping for
Would not recommend. The silicone base isn't firm enough. The material is flimsy. I end up having to spend most of my time trying not to rip the material rather than focusing on suturing techniques, never mind the fact that the lacerations will become unusable after one pass.

The kit is too firm! It doesn’t allow the surgeons knot to bring the sides together. Do not buy
