Brief and Basic
Eddie Joseph reveals the basic information on stage magician pocket picking. It is a book well suited to a beginner. The writing is uninspired, but it covers enough material to give a novice techniques to practice and master for a few months. For the money, it is a pretty good starting point.

Good Reference
This book has some great info but it is more of a study guide or reference book rather than the pickpocket bible. You won't be able to pickpocket with this book alone but if you are already a magician or you have been trying some pickpocketing this book will give you some direction for technique, misdirection, and practice. In terms of resources you will need more than this book so keep that in mind.

Vague and nearly useless.
SAVE YOUR MONEY. This 62-page booklet is not worth whatever price you find it for. It mentions all the things that make a great pick pocket, but doesn't tell you how to achieve those things. In fact it even refuses to teach you things outright! It actually mentions them, then tells you it will not be covered! Things that should logically be covered in depth are skimmed and ignored completely. Quote: " I have purposely not referred to the manner in which your hand should operate in the pocket, nor have I provided specific magic tricks to use in conjunction with pickpocketing. I have not given you specific instructions on removing many items such as belts, cufflinks, bracelets, necklaces, etc. which can be removed without detection..." So what is the point of producing an instructional text if it doesn't teach you anything? When it wasn't being vague it was telling you painfully obvious things about pick pocketing that it seems everyone would likely know. Don't waste your cash or time with this one.

Hauptsächlich Halbwissen...
und keine Technik. Nichtmal Scherengriff ist beschrieben!! Da ist Google die bessere Informationsquelle. Von Trainingstechniken auch wenig zu lesen. Irgendwie sein Geld nicht wert..

An introduction at best, a shoddy manuel at worst
Well I'm adding my voice to this review process, though to be frank the review written by K. Garner pretty much summed up a lot of the faults with this book. Although the book does attempt to show you some stage performance techniques, these none the less appeared awkward to perform and were poorly described. The overall techniques that are taught in this book could have been easily summed up in a pamphlet. Better yet in a Youtube demonstration. If you honestly want to learn how to pick pockets (for honest fun and entertainment of course), then you could do a lot better than start from this lazy attempt at educational literature.
