Nice 2 liter kettle for a decent price.
It can be tough to find 2 liter glass kettles for a reasonable price. Most are 1.7 or 1.8 liters. Or they are insanely expensive for just boiling water. The 1.7-1.8 liter versions are not quite big enough for the amount of tea we make in the mornings. And the expensive ones don't fit in with my value for money sense. This one fits the bill nicely. Heats up enough water, quickly enough, for a reasonable price. The carafe itself is all glass and the heating element is stainless, so the water is mostly not in contact with plastic. The lid is plastic, however, and the little filter on the pour spout is a metal screen in a plastic frame. So there will be some contact with plastic when pouring if that is of concern to you.The blue light is not too annoying and does give an easy visual indication that the kettle is on. Although the sound it makes as it heats up should be enough of a clue. It's fairly loud. The cord is a bit short, too. This can be nice if you have an outlet close to where you'd like to keep the kettle, but more annoying if your outlet placement is less than ideal. All in all, this has been a winner after 5 months of use.

Exceeded my expectations!
The kettle is very basic but does its job well! It boiled 2L of filtered tap water which was 70.8°F starting temp to boiling in 8:09 minutes. I also tested 2L filtered fridge water with a starting temp of 47°F which boiled in 9:45 minutes. Both of these beat the estimated times in the manual which was 10-10.5 mins for 2L( see attached image for estimates of different volumes of water)Note: the blue light turns on when you start it and turns off when the water boils. To put those times in perspective I tested our stove top water kettle ( which cost over 100$) with 2L of filtered tap water and it took 13:17 minutes to boil and is starting to rust inside. The only NEGATIVES are that you really should not put more than 2L of water in it because water will boil out the spout which could potentially short out the base. Additionally, there is a plastic and metal filter(see images) at the spout that defeats the purpose of having an all glass kettle and it doesn't seem to be removable without breaking it off. Lastly the warranty information in the manual(see images) is extremely vague and lacks any contact information which is concerning to me.Conclusion:For the price, capacity, and speed of boiling this kettle beats anything else I've seen on the market. I'm only concerned about the plastic/metal filter touching the water and the lack of clarity on the warranty

I was happy with it until 3 days ago
I got this kettle last december, I was happy with it until 3 days ago, while boiling water out of no where the top made a popping noise and broke, it won't close again all the way.The kettle still works but you will have to turn it off manually when you see the water boiling since the top no longer closes. It seems like this product was cheapily made. 😡

No readable temperature gauge
This pot boils water quickly. It is loud during the heating process. I also neglected to see that it did not have a temperature gage with the temps showing with degrees showing from warm to boil. That is important when brewing green tea. All in all in boils water quickly

So far, it's very good!
So far this product is exceeding my expectations. As I was researching kettles, which I thought would be a simple affair, I got lost in the various product reviews where each product had one thing or another wrong with it. I've used this kettle for a month now, and despite at first worrying about the glass breaking, it has held up remarkably well. It's a simple design, boils enough water for all my uses, and is comfortable to use. The handle and the base are more sturdy than the store-bought kettle I previously had. I bought the product when it only had 1 month of product reviews, and all the reviews were 5 stars, so I was pretty suspicious they were fake, but I gotta tell you, this thing seems rock solid, and I'd back up the previous reviews. I'd recommend trying to keep the bottom of the kettle and the top of the base dry (that's where the electrical contacts are), and leaving the lid open after use, that way the moisture doesn't build up on the bottom of the lid after use. Also, it is made of some kind of glass, so don't go smashing it into a wall.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I like this electric kettle very much. After four months, however, the plastic lid hinge broke so I wrote to the Hommini Customer Service. After submitting the requested pictures of the broken part, the Customer Service Representative gave me a 60% discount code to use when ordering a replacement unit. The Representative followed up and even provided step-by-step instructions for using the code on Amazon. I am very impressed with the Customer Service support I received.

Fast boiling , easy to clean
The media could not be loaded. I used to have plastic and stainless steel electric kettle , ended up I voted for glass kettle. Plastic kettle might not be BPA free, and I never can have a peace of mind about the toxic would be released when using plastic on hot food / berveges . Stainless steel would be a better choice , however my kitchen is full of oil smoke when I cook, and my stainless steel kettle sit in the kitchen, after a week it’s all over sticky grease on it, and very hard to clean if u don’t do it everyday . Glass kettle would not have this problem all. Very easy to clean . And I love the blue light when boiling as well
