Sounds great. Bought as a gift and it is loved. Easy to use. Wish the lettering was bigger and perhaps a little less glare on the tint. But a wonderfully fun instrument.

This is awesome...the sound quality is amazing! I bought this for a preschool for the children to play with outdoors and they love it!

This pan sounds fine. The table-top stand is not symetric. The two horizontal bends are different by 15 degrees. Also, since those metal bends pinch to the outside, they could scratch a wood surface. The rear of the stand actually rests on those two points. I'll have to find sime urethane feet for it I guess. So, I took off points for sturdiness.

This steel drum had 2 dead notes. I returned it and was afraid to try a replacement.Amazon is amazing and always takes care of their customers.

there are cooler looking mini drums out there, for less $$ but i got this one because it was on Prime and I needed it for Xmas. as another reviewer noted, the stand is extremely flimsy and if it breaks (which it will if you let your kid touch it) there is no way to replace it, and that affects the sound.
