DC Super-Pets Character Encyclopedia

My 7 year old LOVES comics, loves superheroes, but motst books are too graphic or adult for him to compreheand. I found this at a great low price and thought I would give it a try. He absolutely loves it. Some of the words he has trouble with, but for the most part he can read it with no problem. And he has read it a bunch of times, he is alays going back to it. Definitly worth the price.It has basicaly all the major DC heroes and villians, and their respective pets. It has all the pets weaknesses, their foes, their allies, and any power they have, all in encyclopedia format.Its a little silly, but like I said my 7 year old loves it, and I think anyone who dosent take this too seriously will enjoy it as well. They put alot of effort into this book, it is not cheaply made. I am over 40 and found this enjoyable to read as well. Highly recomended

This was a gift to my grandson for Christmas. He's 12 and really likes all the super hero stuff and comic books. Of all the presents he got, this was the one he dove right into and spent time with. It's a big thick book with over 100 pages and includes all the important info about each character. The quality is great, much better paper than that used in comic books and will last through much studying and rereading. I expected the paperback version to be rather like a magazine, but it's much more substantial. Whatever age your comic book fan is, this is a great gift idea.

I bought this for my daughter's 7th birthday as she is into superhero girls at the moment. I couldn't find a book with all girl superheroes so I went with super pets and she hasn't put it down in over a week. It is helping her reading and I find her late at night reading in bed. It led us to the super pet chapter books which are on order now. It is a big book and well worth the price!

My boys love reading this book. Full of fun descriptions of the characters. My boys love it so much that the pages are falling out.

My son who is 8 now has checked this book out from the library and absolutely loves it. If they want to self-indulge with comics to get them reading, I am okay with it. There is so many ideas you can come up with this book. The only downfall is that the binding did not stay in tack at all, however, pages came out very easy and we put it in page protectors and a three ring binder, now it will last much longer. I think a hardcover version would be best because young kids love to flip through it and look at the super heroes and villains pets. I would purchase it again.

We first checked this book out over the summer from our local library. After having to renew it a few times because the kids didn't want to give it back, we decided to buy them each their own copy for Christmas. It was definitely one of their favorite gifts!

This fell apart the very first time my son looked through it! He was so excited and then so upset. I had to spend more money and order it from somewhere else.

I have been a DC Comics customer for more than 40 years, and Amazon customer since 1998, this is first experience on having a bad publication. Pages 13 to 28 are missing, and pages 29 to 44 are duplicated. Capstone publishing should take more care when publishing books for kids.
