I have IBS. These take care of the diarrhea, constipation and cramping really well. I don't know of anything else over-the-counter that handles all three. And unlike loperamide I don't have to worry about turning diarrhea into constipation by taking one too many over the course of a day.The only downside to these (and this is minor and easily fixed) is that every once in a while one will break open in my stomach and I get heartburn. But two antacids take care of it and it happens very rarely.One thing to be aware of: these are filled with a very potent, very minty oil and it doesn't get digested or absorbed. Usually it gets mixed up completely by the time it exits, but rarely it might not and you will have a... er... a very bracing visit to the toilet. It's not unpleasant, just surprising. But given the cost and potential side effects other treatments can cause I am *fine* with it happening once every few months.

I purchased these peppermint oil pills to aid in digestion. They seem to help as my digestion has improved. I don’t notice a flavor but they are easy to swallow and the thickness is not noticeable. I will continue using them as per the directions. Good value.

I've been trying these for a few days. If you have "bad guts", as I do, these may just help the often barely tolerable discomfort and bloating that come after most meals. Be forewarned, however, that things could 'get moving', including you to the bathroom, a bit sooner, and in greater volume (depending on the dose) than you're used to. Two a day -one in the morning and one about an hour before dinner- are doing the trick for me.So far, despite the 'events', I can honestly say these capsules have improved my quality of life.

This is one product that I still can't find in stores, I I use it to help in digestion works pretty well take one before bed easy to swallow small hint of peppermint flavor great value for the money.

I was taking a prescription medication as needed for some digestive issues. I decided to try peppermint oil instead and for me these have helped a lot. I still have prescription to use as I need to but I find I haven't needed it once since I started taking these once everyday with my dinner. I don't find I have any side effects from them. The price is reasonable as well.

I bought these in hopes they would be comparable to Ibgard, but you know...actually affordable. Unfortunately this was a let down, it kinda helps but not enough to buy again.

These are AMAZING! I struggle with IBS-D and after trying other peppermint pills these have been way more effective. Anytime I get a flare up I’ll take one of these and it works almost instantly. It will be more effective if you take it BEFORE a flare up (if you’re able to predict it, that is). I do notice a peppermint flavor when I burp but that doesn’t really bother me. If you have IBS-D give these a try!
