I couldn’t resist. My kid has been wanting a pet, and I don’t want to deal with cleaning poop. I found this perfect gift to fit my kid’s wishes and my own sanity:). This is such a fun toy! Totally high-tech but really user friendly too! It’s touch sensored with voice command! I’m having so much fun figuring it out before I gift it to her for Christmas but I also feel like it’s a fun gift for me too! Definitely get it for a special kid (or a grown up kid)!!!

Information on this toy is misleading. If you have android devices there is not an app available on the google play store. There is a gizmo puppy app by the same company but it will not detect the puppy once connected to blutooth.The qr code in the instructions gets to a site where you can get the apple store , but the google play link just gives a downloadable apk file.Buyer Beware.

You can program it using the app on your phone, hit play and it'll play all the actions that you've programmed (you simply select the actions). You have a choice of selecting the music (there are a number of songs to pick from). You can also control the dog manually (you can move it in any direction just like a remote control car) and pick different actions as well.It's also voice activated (turn Bluetooth off) and there are a number of commands that it can follow. Has other features such as feeding the dog virtually, petting the dog etc. It's an entertaining toy and my boys thoroughly enjoy it.

I really can't express how much my 6-year-old loves this...even though we're low income we have very generous family and the kids end up with so much stuff at Christmas and birthdays...my kids are spoiled! Most toys end up being forgotten the same night and many just get donated...usually only one or two toys really stay favorites for a long, long time. This is one of those toys for my youngest. I buy each boy one big expense present each and then one they can share...this puppy was the one I chose for my little one and I'm so glad that money didn't go to waste.

My 5 year old daughter wanted to get a dog. We have a cat that doesn’t like dogs and we travel to much for our family to own a dog of our own so I saw the robot dog and thought I would try it out. My daughter loves the puppy. It does different commands like sit, roll over, play dead and it barks when you ask it questions. It also has a blue tooth speaker that my daughter plays music thru while she’s playing with the dog. She loves the toy and I recommend buying this toy.

It will break easily. A leg will stop working or something will happen. If you do buy it, get the insurance. This is a poorly made and overpriced toy.

One seal on box had a second seal placed over an already cut seal - possibly a defective return that was sold again. That puppy had clear oil on the leg of the defective joint that would not move (motor/joint not working). Other working legs did not have any clear oil on them. Hmmmmm.Buy this knowing that it looks like a motorized toy that easily breaks without very delicate treatment.

The app doesn't work so functionality is limited. We have only had the dog less than two months and already the legs are beginning not to work, and it is not following commands. Sadly, the return window has closed so I cannot return it. Very disappointing.
