Only basic functions for American Makes/Models
Only the basic functions work on American vehicles. I bought it to replace my ECU which requires VIN write which is not supported on American vehicles. With my 03 GM I was able to command the EGR and Turn on/off the Electric fans but other than that this has no advantage over the $20 code readers available on Amazon. The software that is required to run it is confusing and the website download for the latest version is hard to find. If I didn't already have a few code scanners I would consider keeping this but since it doesn't do what is listed and there is no way to see what functions are supported for each vehicle until after you download and activate the software I feel almost scammed by the description.
