Your feet will sweat quickly in warm or even cool 40 degree weather in a closed shoe or sandal
This sock is water proof and not breathable, Your feet will sweat quickly in warm or even cool 40 degree weather in a closed shoe or sandal. This sock is perfect for cold 30 degree weather if you wish to wear hiking sandals. This is a very thick sock yet it will fit in a boot or any shoe. This sock is composed of three parts. A thin stretchable white foam plastic in the middle. The inside has fuzzy thin black strips that feel like cotton running from toe to heal to keep your feet warm like a sweater. However you can turn the sock inside out and feel a more smoother black material. This sock came with a deep indented crease down the middle from heal to toe. It was very uncomfortable because this material is very stiff unlike a cotton sock. But after a few washes it went away. i don't recommend this to be thrown in the dryer. The material around the ankle is breathable because it doesn't have that piece of foam plastic in the middle. The ankle part is tight but not too tight. snugg. This sock is perfect for keeping your feet warm in cold weather. i didn't try it below zero degrees, but i don't hike in freezing weather. hope this helps. i highly recommend this product for cold weather sports men.

I previously purchased the Stryde hiking biking waterproof socks and liked them so much I bought these Stryde light weight waterproof socks. I love them too. I just wore them on a morning hike. At 9,000 feet in the Colorado Front Range it was in the low 40's this morning in June. I hiked up the canyon creek and I wore a light weight hiking shoe with the stryde socks and my feet kept warm and dry while puddle jumping the COLD mountain water stream. Again my shoes were soaked and feet were warm and dry. I know they are going to be great mountain biking and fishing too.

Not really waterproof and cause a really bad rash on my legs
I bought these socks because I have to wear Crocs for my second job as a lifeguard and I get massive blisters because of it. I have to walk an average of 15 to 20 miles and I thought I could wear them with my Crocs to prevent this. So these socks are water proof to a point unless you get the elastic band wet and then the water seems to get in that way. I guess they are quicker then most socks to dry after that. They are comfortable, however, I get a really bad rash, almost looks like a third degree burn, from the socks. I have never had a rash from wearing socks and I'm not allergic to anything that I know of. This weekend was the worst after wearing them for 2 weekends, of course I changed the pair and washed them. If you only want to keep your feet dry and only going to wear them for a brief time then maybe it's an ok product but I'd look elsewhere.

Nice but the large size baggy for narrow feet
The forefoot of the large size was a bit baggy for my narrow feet. The length was fine. But I would have been looking at blisters trying to run. Ordered the smaller size but haven't tried them yet. I'm hoping the length won't be too short.

Quick dry not waterproof
Very comfortable and good fit. Waterproof is not exactly what these are however. I work for a kayak outfitter so always standing in water. Foot still gets wet but socks dry very quickly which is good for most type of water sports

these socks have been amazing at keeping my feet dry
As a letter carrier it rains often, these socks have been amazing at keeping my feet dry, and half the cost of the postal socks. 👍👍

Great product
was a little leary, wore them with my waterproof hiking boots, no issue. feet were cold, morning dew is cold felt wet. got back took off boots, feet were 100%dry. next test was a week later with sneakers, non waterproof. heavy dew in the grass, shoes were soaked, squishy wet. got back to car and removed sneakers and socks, again feet 100% dry no issue at all. wonderful product 100% recommend.

water resistant would be a better selling
These are not waterproof, they dry out decent enough and won't get as wet as a normal sock....water resistant would be a better selling keyword
