First - great fit, charges well, no issues. Instructions update, please. Peel the blue film off the backing plate, watching vids, I didn't notice right away. Kit needs 8 stretch strips, only 6 included. 3 for each side of the battery and 2 for the speakers. I used 2 each for the battery. Came near empty, charger at 45W to 100% in < 1 hour. We will see how it holds up. So far, I'm thrilled, thanks

The laptop would hardly function and the battery was nearly dead.And I ordered this replacement battery and another piece of memory and now it's like a 5 or $600 computer.I'm a happy camper

Well made replacement with everything you need to remove and replace the old battery. A bit tough to extract the old one due to the double sided tape but the tool helped by working it under the bottom slowly and rocking slightly to break the contact. New one fit perfectly and looking forward to many more years of use.

I hadn't run a Lenovo 130-15AST in approx 10 years and, predictably, the battery was toast. For around $27, including tax, I received this replacement in 2 days. I've never replaced a laptop battery before, and the process is so simple I'll never pay someone to do it for me again. The replacement came fully charged, and I ran it down to 5% as recommended in a YT video on replacing laptop batteries. Took about 1.5 hrs. to go to 5% and another 4 hrs to recharge to 100%. Totally fixed my old laptop. Great bang for the buck. I also recommend a fine screwdriver set. I bought a Jorest on Amazon. Invaluable.

At 10.95v and 63.5Wh, this A1278 battery should have the capacity of 5800mah but after charging to 100% the first time the capacity at 100% charge was 5072mah. After calibration dropped even further to 4944mah. Also noted that the battery would not hold the charge as good as the 16 year old battery I was attempting to replace. And charging speed was very slow. Will be returning it.

I purchased this battery to replace the dead OEM component in my wife's Lenovo IdeaPad. Install was a breeze and it fit perfectly. The included tools were a nice touch, but I have a nice precision screwdriver kit that allowed me to match the screws better (highly recommended so you don't round the heads out). In terms of use, it has been great so far. Battery life is pretty good, though I doubt it's quite a good as the original. That said, it's a heck of a lot better than the zero battery life the worn out battery it replaced had. It functions completely fine, otherwise. The laptop now runs unplugged and has a new lease on life with Linux running on it. (Windows was hogging up all the RAM and would no longer run, lol.)

Note that this product does NOT come with a set of spare screws, so do not lose your originals. It DOES come with a set of screwdrivers for removal and installation. That being said this was easy to replace in my MacBook Pro 2012. Make sure the battery in your unit matches the battery in the photos. Mine was a perfect match. May as well order new feet for the unit as well.

20 days in: No problems. Battery has WAY longer life than the last 3rd party battery I installed in this laptop. I don't want to jinx it, but I'm impressed so far. Will update review if/when it fails.
