Had this Item scheduled to return because of the initial set up. I have been in the IT Industry for 3 year so im pretty tech savy. I like that you can access the camera like 4 different ways. either through the NVR Monitor, PC with the client installed (on your network), app on phone, or going the cameras ip address on your network. The app lets you do most of the configuration but the NVR has alot of features and fine tweaking configuration like emails notifications. I was able to add 2 cloud cameras i already had and they are recording on my NVR as well. You can add more 3rd party cameras to your NVR system aslong as they are ONVIF support. ONVIF is a open standard for IP CAMERAS. For the most part it was plug and play but you can go to each individual camera by going to its ip address and setting it up there as well.
