Works great!
This is my second one. Very sturdy and easy to use. Great way to distribute corn.

malfunctioned immediately
Malfunctioned immediately. Motor appears to be shorted only feeds about 2 seconds and stops, gives error message. Should have tested it at home, but i didnt. Left it on the feeder 3 hours away. Amazon wants it returned within 30 days. little feed is better than none. Contacted product support, NO RESPONSE...

Well made feeder
Installed this feeder on a drum design I had made and it is easy to install and set up. The twelve volt feeder can sling corn farther out than I needed and I turned my power setting down to medium and it still fed out 15 feet. Good value for the money.

Good spreader
Good and durable electronics function. Ran several weeks on one battery. Good spread range. Only complaint was that the brackets are not as sturdy as I would like, but if I had pig/varmint proofed it that would have never been an issue.

Easy install easy programming
Used as a replacement for an older model. Installed easy. Instructions were very clear on programming. Very easy. This unit is for a large corn feeder but I adapted it for my smaller bucket. Works great.

It may not affect all feeders, but on mine the spin time does not last more than about one second, even when set to 30 seconds. Additionally, the lowest setting on the motor speed control does not appear to change the feed throw distance compared to the highest setting. I did confirm the unit has been factory reset. I worked around both issues by lowering the feeder so it would not throw as far and by using all six feed times in one-minute intervals. For reference, I also own an older feeder from this company (American Hunter) that has been in service for several years without any issues.

DANGER STAY AWAY
I bought this instead of the one I have used before because of the price differences. Figured it was same and save some cash. WRONG. It lasted about 3 months and the motor died it let water in through the motor mount screws so it ruined the control panel and then the door latch broke. I bought a high and wild the year before this one off Amazon and it is still running strong even after a light bear attack. So I paid the extra and bought a second one and I'm back to baiting. But this one is absolute junk so do yaself a favor and pay the extra, learn from my mistake or you'll be buying another one.
