Kotobuki "Kizuna" Japanese Kanji Calligraphy Sake Set

This is a simple sake set, but that is its charm. A simple kanji like “Kizuna” or “bond” makes a great gift or simple dinner ornamentation, and goes along with traditional never pouring for yourself from the decanter. The decanter itself does both warm and chill well and without fading, chipping, or similar, and was a hit at a tasting party (it can also hide cheaper sake if avoiding pouring from the bottle, haha). The cups are simple and traditional, with oddly brilliant color design I really love. It also keeps to, again, tradition, and prompts sharing and pouring. Easily recommend.

Chosen for the appearance and the capacity of the bottle. Most set bottles are in the 8oz. (why bother) category. The glazing is good and attractive. The heft of the set pieces is an unexpected plus. These are not delicate porcelain items, but robust ceramics that definitely have "guy-appeal". I do not warm my sake, so I do not know how it would perform in that use, but it has enough mass that it would probably hold the warmth for awhile. The colors are rich and earthy. It's a winner.

As a novice sake drinker that was drinking sake from cheap sake set from world market i thought it was time to order a nice set that was made in Japan. The set is nice and it great at keeping the sake cool.

The tokkuri is a decent size. But, the set looks a little cheap and mass-produced.

Got this for my twin on Christmas, and we absolutely love it. The quality is exceptional and the colors are brilliant. Not only do we enjoy our sake with this little set every Friday, we also keep it out as a decoration for our living room because they add such a unique, beautiful touch to the atmosphere.Would definitely recommend for all you sake lovers out there!
