Yonacraft Clapper (Traditional Size) Ash Hardwood

Description

A clapper is used to set permanent creases by boosting the power of heat and steam, focusing it directly where needed to flatten and permanently set fabric in bulky facings, pant creases, collars, construction seams, pleats, pockets, darts and hems. Clappers have been in use by professional seamstresses and tailors for over a hundred years to produce that custom look in fine clothing. The Yonacraft Clapper is made of ash hardwood. No other wood holds heat and absorbs steam better than the traditional ash. It measures 9-1/2" long, 3" wide and 1-3/4" thick. The extra thickness of the Yonacraft Clapper, compared to other clappers, affords better, more comfortable control, more efficient heat and steam absorption and greater heft. Yonacraft is an artisan endeavor dedicated to making the finest handcrafted consumer products in my Carrollton, Georgia USA woodshop.
