Ridge Footwear Men's All Leather Side Zip Motorcycle Boot

Nice sturdy pair of shoes- initially had a little trouble reaching the gears when shifting up, but after a few days of use, it seems to be getting easier. The shoes are a little big (bottom-to-top) though. Had to get another insole and put it on top of the one in it and that made it a little less loose. I wish it had some kind of protection from the gearshift - already seeing some scuffs on the leather from the shift peg, but I suppose it is strong enough that it should last a while given my riding frequency.

Edited after contacting MFGR: The sole of the boot delivered is not the one pictured on the product description (as of 20150407). The version delivered incorporates a production run change and has a different tread pattern. It, also, has a wedge between the sole and the heel so it will not 'hook' the foot peg. Your foot sits higher on the peg so you have to strain to tilt your foot forward enough to get under the shifter to upshift. I was replacing a Ridge model MC206 P/O 479, WHICH I LOVED. The version shipped was a model MC206 P/O 740. (See images of new and old) I concur with an earlier review that your heels slip too much in the new version with the wedge between the heel and sole since it seems to prevent the necessary flex.

Nice casual boot. Sturdy tread. Easy breakin. Runs large wide and roomy. Tossed in a couple of This air pillow insoles under the stock insole. And perfect. Wore them all day on the first day.

Boots run a little big and I don't feel that they are made with genuine leather ,But what would you expect for under $5o I guess you get what you paid for But I use a prosthetic insert because of a Fused Ankle so that's why I like a Zipper on the side Not worth the hassle to return them so I'm just going to keep

I have wide feet so most shoes are uncomfortable and too tight. These are a little loose but comfortable and I will just wear a thicker pair of socks.

Great boots with just a couple of minor problems. They fit great and are comfortable right out of the box. Only problem is the heel is a bit large at the back and your heel moves up and down. I ut a pair of heel inserts and that was the solution to that. The zipper is a little rough going up and down so I ran some lip balm on the teeth and now its smooth. I feel I made a good purchase. Its a good looking boot and I looked high and low for the size 9 e. i have a wide foot and these fit perfect.
