Max Lucado always touches my heart. This book is so sweet and endearing! It's about a little girl who feels that she has nothing special to give her new adoptive Dad. It's an awesome book to read to kids, your own or in your school or Sunday School. It's a keeper!

This simple book gives us a deep, moving message that it doesn't take our efforts, talents, or performance to please God or make Him love us more. Like the song says, nothing can make Him love us more or close the door on us. He loves us just the way we are... I love this book!If you are too concerned about doing things for God, rather than just sitting at the foot of God and loving Him, this book is for you. Also for anyone (like me) who is sometimes wondering, "Am I worth God's love?" this book will be an unforgettable message to your soul. Highly recommended for all Christians who love the Father!

It was advertised as "like new with no writings inside." I was happy to get this book which looks perfect. Appreciate the honesty of this seller.

Great message to help build character and compassion. We all have flaws but that is the beauty, unique is not boring. Every flaw can be a blessing because then you find ways to adapt and that usually creates your flaw into a specialty. Don't aspire to be like others. Be unique, embrace your gifts even if at first they seem like flaws.

I love most of Max Lucado's books for children. I especially love this one that lets children know that God loves them "Just the Way You Are".

I love the book and ordered it for a special event I had. However it came after the event. It was late in the mail. But I would recommend this book to anyone with kids.

Beautiful story for children to connect with the message of faith.

This is my all-time favourite kids' book! It's about a family of 5 orphaned children who heard they were going to be adopted by a king so they set about to hone their talents to impress him. The youngest sibling thought she had nothing to share, no talent to display. This story shows it's not what we do but our character that counts. It's not just about being who we are but being comfortable with who we are. God has given us talents, for sure, but this book shows us He'd prefer we pour out our character on others. That's the display that shows who we really are.

It's a children book. But it will speak to any person with a listening heart!Max Lucado brings an amazing story for us to teach our children, and even ourselves, that we should always put our hearts over our gifts.
