Works. The area where our sump pump was smelling really bad. We suspected excess groundwater or something getting in there from under the house. We bought this solution and put it down our kitchen sink and sure enough it appeared in our sump pump area. It told us there is a crack in the pipe somewhere from the dishwasher and sink area that’s leaking into the sump pump area. This was a great help.

It doesn't take much to turn the water into a UV sensitive green under a black light. I used this to find a leak in a stone shower pan. I filled the pan with water, added a few ounces of dye and in minutes, I could easily locate the areas of concern using a black light. I now have a lifetime supply of this!

Learned where my sump pump drains to in under 5 minutes!
I am not a plumber and I didnt know what options existed to help me find out where my sump pump discharged to, but this product did exactly what I needed it to. I was a bit confused when the product arrived and was a dark red liquid in the bottle, but as soon as it touches water it turned green. I did buy a UV flashlight at the same time as buying this because I assumed it was needed, but for my use case the green color was enough for me to see in a storm drain outside my house without using the flashlight. This was a great low cost solution and saved me from having to rent plumbing hardware or higher a professional. Awesome solution!

A little goes a long way. Used this to find a leak in our koi pond, about 2500 gal. Used less than a quarter of the gallon. Looked like someone melted neon crayons in th pond. Easily found the leak. Plenty left over to use in our smaller pond for Halloween--for many years!

Great for Halloween Decore
I used this product for an outdoor Halloween decoration, the vomiting Skelton and it worked fantastic. My spouse did use this to detect a leaking toilet flapper. It has multiple uses and works well.

You can see it in the water
it definitely works well in my water. I was afraid that I wouldn’t really be able to see it but it’s like a neon and you definitely don’t have any trouble seeing it when you put it in the water works well.
