My 8 year old son bought this with his Christmas money and we're impressed.It is pretty quick, handles bumpy terrain and woodchip, and is sturdy enough to ride bumps and land on four wheels. We have not tried it in mud but I would doubt it has the power.Despite other reviews it does have a reverse.One charge gives you about 20 minutes play time by which time he has usually had enough. It is chargeable via USB so handy if you are on holidays.

I bought this car as a Christmas present for my 4 yr old son. He absolutely loves it!! It is faster than the typical target RC cars you can buy but not as quick as a hobby car. It pretty much runs over anything we have thrown at it on our obstacle course. The throttle is not speed sensitive like the hobby cars and neither is the steering. Its very nicely built and runs for about 20 mins on a full charge. All in all, for the right aged kid, it's more fun than typical purchases as long as you don't compare it to a hobby car. The price is very reasonable as well and the only thing I wish was different is that the battery pack consists of AA batteries packaged together with a proprietary connector so you cant just change batteries when done. But it doesn't matter, my son likes it.

Fast car, cheap parts. I really enjoyed this car then I hit a wall and the steering broke and now I can’t use it anymore.

It works perfectly fine.Pros:- it's 1:18 Scale,really a big truck, heavy and looks high quality- fast enough to be a lot of fun for him- good battery life. Comes with a 6V 700mAh Ni-Mh rechargeable battery, probably 20 minutes or more of play time- does well on smooth floors, asphalt, dirt and gravel- 4WD Suspension looks coolCons:- the speed is not very fast, but enought for youny kids- not quite able to drive in grass - if going at speed can plow through some grass but often gets stuck- looks high quality, but if you throw away or hit the stone or a hard object, there may be damage gor the plastic shell

I got this car for my sons and my husband. We already had few RC cars and I know my boys truly enjoy them! This truck is super easy to control (my 5 yr old figured it out in minutes) but at the same time it has a full function steering which makes me it fun for my husband as well. The oversized wheels, 4-wheel drive and strong anti-collision structure allow the car to drive on rough surfaces and not get stuck (this feature is great since it allows the boys to play with this truck outside).It's really cool, I would highly recommend this for younger kids and even teenagers who plan on getting into RC cars.

The car didn’t start. Bought it as present for my nephew, so was quite disappointed.

This is a great truck! It comes with everything that you need to get started except 2 AA batteries for the transmitter. I have been in the R/C industry for a while, and used to build my own vehicles, but I can honestly say that I never had as much fun with those I as have had over the past few weeks with this truck. I really didn't expect much when I got it, but I have been pleasantly surprised. Both of my kids love and can drive it, and they have never used any R/C vehicles. It's a hit, and you definitely don't want to miss out. For less than ￡50 you can't go wrong!
