The Little Red Book Study Guide

For practitioners of 12 Step lifestyles, The Little Red Book is one of the earliest tools for in-depth study of the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Common lore within the community is that it was written by none other than Dr. Bob, once of the co-founders, and has been lovingly edited and made available by several anonymous AAs through the publisher, Hazelden. Whoever wrote it, they know the program and they know alcoholics, and this is one of the definitive study guides to life on a spiritual basis for recovered alcoholics. The book is also used by programs called AWOL (A Way of Life) in which alcoholics go through an intensive study of the Twelve Steps together as a group with a leader who has already worked the steps. A staple for the library of any alcoholic, especially helpful for newcomers just starting out on their recovery journey, but well-loved by old-timers as well.

I found this book to be a comprehensive step study tool that gave me a complete overall view andunderstanding on how to make the Program of Alcohoic Anonymous work better in my life. This little red book gave me the confidence I needed to grow and change my life in a positive way in Alcoholics anonymous. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking guidance and understanding about what the 12 & 12 of A.A. stands for and means. You can't go wrong unless you don't join a step study group that uses this particular book as its step study guide. Try it. It has the power to transform your life like nothing before!

This is very convenient and good resource. Very helpful.

I personally found this guide difficult to use. There were definitely some good exercises. Not really enough of them to warrant the purchase. This is just according to my own opinion. Others may feel completely different

I actually thought this was the more recent printing of the Little Red Book (which is markedly different from the original). When it came in the mail I thought I had accidentally receive a large-type version. But it was this Guide. Hey, it was meant to be because I think this is a wonderful accompaniment to the Little Red Book and, along with the Big Book, the 12 & 12, and Drop the Rock, is now required reading for my sponsees. In fact I just purchased another.

Great content for working the steps in line with Dr. Bob's simplicity. Needs a key for the original 1946 Edition. Guess that is my project for 2019.

This was for my daughter whose faith is very important to her. She has told me more than once how much this book is helping learn and understand more, making her more confident when talking to other people about their faith.

Not for me, so hard for me to rate. Actually was looking for a smaller version, but I am sure same information:)
