I’ve been using this Etekcity smart kitchen scale primarily for baking, and it’s been very accurate and reliable for measuring ingredients. It responds quickly when adding ingredients and makes it easy to get precise measurements, which is especially important when baking recipes that require exact amounts. The display is clear and easy to read, and switching between measurement units is simple. It feels lightweight but stable on the counter and doesn’t slide around during use. For standard kitchen tasks like measuring flour, sugar, or liquids, it performs exactly as expected. This model also connects to an app for tracking nutritional information and macros, though I’ve mainly used it as a traditional kitchen scale so far. It’s nice to have the option available for those who want more detailed tracking. Overall, this is a solid choice for baking, meal prep, or general kitchen use—especially if you want precision with the added flexibility of smart features.

So Much More than a Kitchen Scale - A "Nutrition" Scale. I bought this scale - not to lose weight...although it could be used for that - quite effectively, but to track my Sodium, Calories, Fats, Sugars and overall Daily "LIMITS" levels from the Food I consume. Nothing could work better. ALL the Nutrition DATA is on EVERY product LABEL...from Calories..ALL the way down to mcg. of Vitamins...Potassium..Fiber..etc. the "Killer App" of this scale is that you can SCAN the UPC..."price code" and say 90+% of the time, the EXACT product is found, and uploaded. From then on...take a week to upload your "repeat" food, and anything you add to your diet. If a product is NOT FOUND..you can "create food" and add the nutrition numbers in...it's easy. You can even load a "Taco Bell" Burrito...the nutrition facts are online...easy to find. Ok...Things to note: - You have to "ADD" products to get them in the database...BUT they are easy to DELETE...they say 'swipe right or left" Iphone or Android...but do this instead..."PUSH DOWN" on item...gives you delete. - You can Also add "MEALS"...just make a list of a meal you eat, and click on ... and "Add as a meal"...name it..and it becomes a choice...like a potato. - You can add grams, oz, ml. etc of food 2 ways.. A. Just tare a bowl..weigh food, enter weight.. B. "LIVE" weight....choose a food from your list...with scale ON...and weight/cal..ALL categories "fill in"...save..and it's recorded. Cool Feature Really. - You can search food by typing it in - search database (if not in your data)..or it searches your food so no scrolling. - Sort alphabetically or by "recent" most used..- bummer it doesn't keep your last search criteria. - You can add your age..height weight gender AND DIET you choose...I did DASH..and it gives you Kcal per day...Calories... - BUT..you can go to SETTINGS..and enter your Calorie limit/goal...AND Add limits to EACH category...- ie..I put in the LIMITS daily for DASH...2300 mg SODIUM...Down to 15 mcg Vitamin D.. - Given all this...You can..And I do..MEET ALL your limits per day by entering Breakfast lunch dinner snacks...and as the day goes on..you can "customize" dinner..snacks etc. if you are going to go over a limit. (The one exception is SUGARS..I think this scale counts FRUIT sugars equal to added sugars in processed food IMHO)...watch for that. - Lastly...NUTRITION INFORMATION gives you a rundown of numbers vs limits...and some verbiage on what to do if you blow a limit....green is good..red is over. - Lastly lastly...lll 3 bars gives you daily, weekly, monthly histograms of calories per meal, and Carbs protein fats per day week month breakdown. It's entirely possible to enter EVERYTHING you Eat...but it takes a bit of time commitment. Even if you don't enter everything...or skip days...using it a few times correctly gives you an idea of what you are eating "Numerically". Great product...sturdy..sleek..easy to use...Get One. glad we got it, awesome scale. functions as it should. It does a lot for a budget price. learning curve is a day or and you're moving right along. After a week your nutritional knowledge will explode. compact, accurate. tiny nuisance is scale screen times out after 2 mins (max setting). some won't like that. easy to reset.

It would be great if the scale was more energy-efficient. Overall, the Ultrean Food Scale performs well and meets my kitchen needs effectively. It's a reliable choice for precise measurements and simplifies the cooking and baking process.

This scale mainly has 2 features, and how much that is worth to you is up to you. I think this is an excellent scale at a great price. (1) Syncs the weight of the scale with the app. It makes it super easy to not have to input the weight or portion, I just search and item, place it on the scale, and it adjusts the portion size in the app. (2) Syncs the nutrition data from the app. The scale essentially reads out what it tells you in the app. So after you've selected a food and it's weighed it, it adjusts the nutrition numbers in the app and on the scale. Note: it only syncs with Fitbit, so if you use something else you'll have to migrate to this app. Now is it that worth it? You could buy a cheaper scale and transfer the weight yourself and any food tracking app would do the work for you, but this scale executes it in a great way with a great app that works easily with it. I'm using it to track my gym bulking. 5 stars!

Overall review (5-star):I've only had it for two days and I am all in. Pros: Setup with the app was very easy. Data between app & scale is accurate. Scale is easy to operate and very very quick to register anything you place on it and LED is easy to read👍🏽👍🏽(see pic). Scale is perfect size & light weight. Brushed chrome matches my appliances, my preference. More than I ever thought I'd spend on a food scale, but I considered my health journey is worth the money to achieve my goal. Plus, I've spent more in a restaurant on food that wasn't really healthy, so can't be a cheapo on the bigger picture 😊. Cons(4-star): My only complaint, hence my 4-star is, I don't seem to have a single product that the bar code recognizes when scanning and my food items can be found in most stores. However, I can take a pic of the nutrition label which registers all details accurately, but then I have to take a pic of the front of the product, fat-finger in the name of the product and brand. The positive side is everything I add will now be there with 1-tap the next time(see pic).

I really like this it's easy to use I meal prep so it was very helpful having this. The only thing I would tell you when you're using this check for the unit you are using time to time because sometimes when I meal prepping like 50 meals it happened to me often that I press the button and change it from grams to mls, I change it that you need to accidentally so pay attention

The scale seems very accurate & looks really nice but the app is a disaster in my opinion because I cannot figure out how to use it. It is not user friendly. I bought the scale based on the app because it looked so easy to track your food but I personally will not be able to figure out the app because there is not enough time in a day & I am busy. I really hate the app as it is such a disappointment. Please make instructional videos just for your app! :(
