Great bouncy and stretchy mochi with crispy edges
I recently ordered Mochiko glutinous rice flour for making mochi. The texture was just perfectโsmooth and stretchy with crispy edges. It blended easily with coconut milk and I loved how simple the process was. The mochi turned out soft and chewy, with that lovely sweetness you expect. I also appreciate that I can flavor it however I like, whether itโs with matcha or some fruit puree. It's versatile and definitely easy to use, even if you're a beginner. If you're a mochi lover or just want to try making it at home, I highly recommend giving Mochiko a shot. It makes mochi-making fun and really satisfying!

Great for Mochi anything
The boxes arrived pretty much intact. I've made mochi waffles and mochi butter cake so far. They were delicious.

Product Is Good, Packaging Needs Improvement
Itโs good flour, but I really dislike the packaging. When my order arrived, some flour had already spilled out. The box is labeled as 16 oz net weight (excluding packaging), but mine was clearly short. I noticed this because my recipe requires exactly 16 oz, and I always measure my ingredients in the same bowl as I go. When I weighed one full box, it was about 0.5 oz under. I strongly suspect the missing amount leaked out during shipping because of the poor packaging.

Make some mean GF buttermilk mini waffles
Found out about how this type of flour can help make GF baked goods yummy. Have tried to make a few things with it. Not many recipes out there. I have been trying to find the right ratios of using it with GF flours to make things more fluffy. Bets recipe has been a GF buttermilk waffle recipe. I use my mini waffle maker and they are so good. Just freeze em and throw them in the toaster as needed. The boxes and inner bag the flour is in sucks. Itโs messy when you take the plastic off that holds the boxes together. When I open a new box I just pour the flour into a glass container for easier use and sealant. Otherwise itโs too messy to fight with the box and bag.
