101 Movie Hits for Violin

Enjoyable easy playing of the tunes we know from the movies, whilst we ready ourselves to tackle Paganini a wee bit later.

This book of sheet music is awesome! It's has many songs that are great for beginners. It's just a wonderful series.

I got this book for my 9 yo who is starting his third year of violin. While some pieces are easy (quarter and half notes only, no flats or sharps), I’d say most are at least early intermediate to early advanced—at least for a child. Slurs, staccatos, etc are prevalent throughout the book, as well as different timings (3/4, 12/8). He will take this into his teacher for some help and as a way to break up the Suzuki he usually focuses on. Added: He was playing Chariots of Fire. For reasons unknown to me, this version contains no slurs. Most versions do, and other sings have slurs, so I'm not sure why this one does not.

Very fun book. I've been playing for a few months and this book has many songs I can play for fun. And there are still many that I can aspire to play.

The other music pieces in this book are great, though, even if "I Believe I Can Fly" was a popular song, R. Kelly doesn't deserve to be in this book at all.

Still learning to play but has some great songs at a variety of levels.

Partition très bien pour débutant et autres

Ottimo per avere delle canzoni per il violino altrimenti molto difficili da trovare!

Nombreuses partitions de films simpatique. Malheureusement, j'aurai aimé avoir un cd pour pouvoir écouter les morceaux.
