Tiny USB DAC Digital to Analog Audio Converter ES9023+PCM2706

Bought this item to use with my Nexus 7 in my car setup as I only wanted one plug to go into the tablet. This is connected to a USB hub which is connected to an OTG cable which is connected to the tablet and a power source. This product works great with this set up and I am able to listen to music through USB as opposed to using an aux cable from the tablet. There are a select few songs that for some reason this DAC can't play properly (lots of distortion, and just not good playback). These songs come through fine when using the aux cable so not sure what the deal is. Overall still satisfied with the performance for the price.

Using it with my Nexus 7, I don't have any experience with different DACs, it's going to be used with a fixed installation using Timur's "USB-Rom", I've only used it with the tablet being powered by AC, and it sounds clean clear and loud. Very happy with my purchase. I'm curious as to whether it sounds as clean when being powered by a cheapish 3 amp buck converter. EDIT: It's worth pointing out that volume control works fine on Android, however, on Mac/Windows, volume can't be adjusted from the system, it runs at full volume, not an issue if you can adjust it on your amplifier, or if you're using Android.

This does miracles to my sound system. It is worth it weight in gold. I have other DACs and this one is just as good as the $150 one I have.Mine was USB, not micro USB like I initially wanted. However, I have the need for a 6 foot USB extension and was able to use one I had around the house. Now I swap this thing around between 3 phones and 2 computers.It is plug and play. So far, every device I plug it into just starts playing music without having to do anything.

Sounds very good, I cant compare to anything else though as it is my first dac. I do like the design though, seems like the flexibility it has instead of a stiff stick will hold up better to accidental bumping into things. Plugged it into my USB port and it worked, I didn't need to do anything. I am running it though a headphone amplifier before my headphones.

For the price its ok

I am enjoying this dac. This thing is tiny! I also own the Hifimediy model UAE23. The tiny dac is 1/3 to 1/4 the size of the UAE23. I use both with raspberry pi's running Runeaudio. The tiny is for the bedroom, while the UAE23 is for my main system. These are an outstanding value.

Ich hatte mir einen leistungsstarken Mini-PC von Lenovo zugelegt um ihm per Linux zu betreiben. Leider besitzt dieser eine HDA (High Definition Audio) Soundkarte von Intel. Da die Chip-Hersteller aus dem internen Aufbau der HDA-Chips ein Geheimnis machen, konnte Linux noch keinen Treiber zur Verfügung stellen. Dieses Problem wurde sehr einfach mit dem "HiFiMeDIY Sabre Tiny USB-DAC" gelöst. Er funktionierte sofort problemlos und liefert einen beeindruckenden Sound, der ausgewogener erscheint als jener, welcher über die HDA-Soundkarte erzeugt wird (habe ich mit Windows 10 getestet).

This saved me when my headphone jack went kaput!, and I have zero complaints. The sound is as accurate as you'd expect and the form factor is great.CAVEAT: Use an amp on Windows. On Linux you can control the volume in PulseAudio, so this doesn't affect me the vast majority of the time, but most people do not.

Dopo diversi mesi di utilizzo posso dire di essere soddisfatto dell'acquisto; lo utilizzo per inviare il segnale ad un amplificatore stereo AUNA CD508BT collegato a delle casse MAGNAT MONITOR SUPREME 200 e a delle cuffie SUPERLUX HD681 EVO. Rispetto all'uscita cuffia del portatitle ho notato un miglioramento della qualità sonora percepita, in particolare per quanto riguarda i dettagli e la gamma bassa. Non bisogna aspettarsi miracoli ma lo ritengo un ottimo acquisto per trasformare il computer in una ottima sorgente di musica liquida per il proprio impianto stereo. Il dispositivo funziona anche con Android (sicuramente dalla versione 5.0.1) e lo si può collegare allo smartphone tramite un classico adattatore. La qualità di costruzione non sembra il massimo ma per il momento il DAC non ha mai dato problemi. Il volume non è regolabile lato software ed è sempre al massimo, occorre gestirlo tramite la manopola dell'amplificatore. Consigliato!

せっかく外出用のヘッドホンを新調したので、これまでのiphone7 + bluetoothレシーバからアップデートです。曲はApple Musicとitunes Match経由でitunesに積んであるので、それらをできるだけ良い音で聴くことがテーマ(DRMの掛かっていない曲が対象)最近のiOSは認証外USBデバイスに冷たいので、手持ちの空いていたNEXUS5。少し古い端末ですが、メモリもCPUパワーも十分。USB変換にはelecomのDH-MBAF01を使用、認識も電源も問題なし。ボリューム/ゲインの制御が、HF PLAYERだとできなかったので、Neutronを念のため有料版にして、isyncRを使ってWindows機からWifiでライブラリを同期しました。上位チップのES9018も気になりますが、9023でも音は文句なしです。発熱については、外でヘッドホンするのは秋から冬だけなので気にならないかなと。バッテリーがすぐ無くなるようなので、NEXUSはオーディオプレイヤー専用と。
