You NEED a magnet.
Fits my Harbor Freight Predator 2000. Well built dip stick and very useful funnel (helps if you measure before you pour). These pictures are from the first hour run on a new generator. I wiped some away so you could see the fine particles more easily. You might not need this if you just want to just use the machine, but if you want to keep it as long as possible a little TLC goes a long way. Highly recommended.Random information: since I didn’t know if the cylinder was (oil) dry, I added oil to the crankcase, removed the spark plug, and pulled the starter about 20 times. Then reinstalled the spark plug, added gas, and ran it for an hour with a low load. The plan is to use conventional oil and change it after 1 hour, 4 more hours, 8 more hours, and 16 more hours (total of 29 hours). The predator manual says that the break-in period is 30 hours, 29 is close enough. Some say that synthetics may be too slick to allow a proper break-in - i.e., rings to seat. So for the first 29 hours, use conventional, then switch to a synthetic.BTW, I also put in an engine run meter from Amazon - eBay also sells them.ALWAYS USE STABILIZER: something I just learned, gas with ethanol (ALL gas in California) will deposit a residue in the carburetor. If you don’t use stabilizer, it can void your warranty and clog your carburetor.

Great tool, "keep it clean". :)
Please make sure what genny you need it for. I screwed and didn't check the first time. I received a kit for a Honda. Doesn't fit, threads don't match. This one fits my Wen 2250 and 2350 PERFECTLY. I use an old windshield washer fluid gallon bottle to empty used oil into. Ppl warn of UUUUUUGE clumps of metal collecting, then releasing from the tip of the magnetic dipstick, I call BS. But that's just me. If you acquire uuuuuuge amounts of metal on your dipstick in 50 hours, you have bigger problems, know what I mean?

Really helps collect metal filings from the engine during break-in period
I purchased this product for my new Harbor Freight Predator 2000 generator, based on a recommendation from an experienced friend. Particularly during the initial break-in period of the generator, there are alot of little metal filings coming off the engine piston chamber that collect in the oil pan. This product's magnetic tip collects those filings and prevents them from re-entering the combustion chamber and scoring the surfaces, which will shorten the lifespan of the engine. After the 1st oil change the oil was very dark, luckily most of the metal shards were stuck to the end of the dipstick. Another helpful benefit is the included plastic tube which securely screws in to the oil access port and makes it much easier to add fresh oil, as opposed to using a conventional funnel.

Shorter than original, but fit well.
Fit well. Shorter than original oil plug, making it a little harder to check the oil level. Keeping the original in case it is needed to check oil.

Fits Predator 3500
Fits Predator 3500.Wish the magnetic tip was a bit longer, like the OEM, to get the magnet further into the oil pan.The funnel is thin plastic, so time will tell how long it lasts.

Works great
This kit makes it easy to do an oil change and the magnetic tip dipstick collects any fine metal particles in the oil that mostly happen during break-in. The metal dipstick does get hot so use a rag to unscrew it when the motor is hot.

Using on my 2500w Champion duel fuel inverter generator
Funnel works great of filling and emptying. Generator small enough to tilt sideways for emptying oil out.The magnetic dipstick is not very long, barely reaches into the reservoir. 1 1/4 inch shorter than original dipstick.

Very useful
I would recommend this to anyone with a generator that this product is made for. It really does catch tiny iron filings that are produced while breaking in the engine. That's not a substitute for multiple oil changes during break-in, but it's peace of mind, and added protection after break-in. The included flex hose makes oil changes much easier, and there's much less chance of spilling oil inside the generator. I have two SUA2300i generators so I bought two of these.
